limiting little people in the wedding

Recommended Posts

I kinda dont want to have a flower girl... for many reasons.

  • i feel like it would create additional expenses and worries for my siblings
  • theres no way i can include one niece without including my other niece and 2 nephews... my heart wouldnt let me
  • if I add the 4 nieces and nephews we'll end up with a large wedding party which we wanted to avoid... thats why we chose a DW

Is anyone else forgoing tradition and not having a flower girl, junior bride/bridesmaid, junior groom/groomsmen. The only child I want IN the wedding is FI's son, theres no way we could get married without him, but as far as any other little people... I can do without:(. Not because I love them any less but I dont want any additional worries for anyone, including myself. Part of me feel like Im depriving my family of the opportunity to take part in this specal day, and part of me feels like this is what i want and i should have it. Would i be a Bitch if i go toe to toe with FI about limiting our wedding party to bridesmaids (4), maid of honor (1), best men (2), groomsmen (3) and ringbearer (1-Son)? Anything beyond that creates more work for me as I (and many brides) by default end up doing all the planning and coordinating

It's your day!!! You're not depriving anyone of anything.  They should feel it to be a privilege to be invited to attend your special day! I don't think anyone will take offence, and if they do, that's  their problem and not yours!!! I'm having 2 bridesmaids, 1 MOH and FI is having 2 GMs and 1 BM, that is all, end of story! Best of luck to you :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
