K - you're wedding date is coming up!  How has your planning process been so far?  Have you submitted your wedding checklist back to Marival?  What menu/locations did you pick?  Are you bringing down anything extra for the wedding/dinner/guests?

atgb - congrats on picking Marival!  Your wedding is just a few months away too!  If you find the Marival Residences facebook page, there are quite a few wedding couples on there.  Some of them are tagged in the pictures so you can reach out to them with questions.

Time is coming so quick and now fi cant find his birth certificates. Im sure everything will work out. K

I was on tripadvisor today, and saw a review that if you booked your travel after Jan 1st (all of my travelers) then you only get 1 free excursion for your stay instead of the previous unlimited.  I'm extremely bummed by this and am contemplating changing locations.  This was a huge selling point to me and all of our guests, especially for paying such a premium price.  I have my TA working on it and hopefully they'll honor the previous unlimited excursions since we have had our wedding date set with them for over a year.  hissyfit.gif

Hi Traci,

Really?  I am exactly with you.  The unlimited excursions was definitely one the selling points for us.  If that's not going to be part of the "deal" any longer I too might consider move locations.  Did you check with the resort?

Thank you for information!

Hey Roxann

My travel agent was on the phone with Marival all day yesterday and finally got them to agree to letting those that book with our promo code to still have the unlimited excursions.  I told him that since I've had my wedding date set with them for well over a year that if they didn't honor the unlimited excursions that we would take our wedding elsewhere.  I really hope you can make it work for you too!  Honestly though, I probably would have stayed at Marival even if they didn't allow it because we've already sent out our STDs and have people booked and wouldn't want to hassle with switching everything again.  I also checked out some other resorts and I still felt like Marival was a fair price even w/o the unlimited excursions.

Let us know if it works out for you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
