Asking friends to be bridesmaids -

Recommended Posts

How did everyone ask their friends to be their bridesmaids? I am looking for cute ideas like  a little gift asking them to be my bridesmaid. All of my bridesmaids live in a different town than I do so I will be needing to mail it to them. I have seen some cute things on etys and some bridesmaid cookies that are cute.

Any ideas or how did you do it!

I sent my bridesmaids cards made by Rebecca (Allurements by Rebecca). They had cute little sayings in them and asked if they would be my bridesmaid. I mailed them because I didn't want them to feel like they had to say yes or thought it maybe awkward to do in front of them lol! I am weird when it comes to that crap! When they called me to say YES I said something like if you can't afford it I understand & I dont want this to be like now you have to go(even though I would be pissed if they didnt!) blah blah!

Here's a pic of what they looked like. Rebecca does amazing work and had tons to choose from! Hope this helps! Good luck and happy planning!

this was my first DIY project, and the girls loved it!!  I will attach my photos, but i decorated a bag (orginally wanted to do a box, but couldn't find one I liked) with the girls initials, and found some great stickers from JoAnns.  I added a sticker with a seashell, and on the back found these great Mexico stickers.  Inside the bag was a card asking my girl a list of funny questions that i made with different colored cardstock and I punched holes on top to make a pretty bow.  Inside the bag I included a mini bottle of champagne and a photo and myself and the girl of honor!!IMG_0547.JPG

Used these printable cards from etsy, and wrote personal notes on the back of each card, and attached to a bottle of bridesmaid wine!

I made them cards. I mailed one of them with coconut bath salts. My MOH got a paper gift bag with the bath salts and coconut body butter, with the card too. Summer to September, 2011 112.JPG

I had seen a picture of cards like this somewhere, thought they were cute, and knew I could do something similar.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
