Thought I would start this thread, as I couldn't find one specifically where everyone could post their DIY Barefoot sandals pictures. I just made my first pair tonight, but have a lot of different bead combos to make a bunch more - so I'll keep posting what I come up with! I just love this project, and think it will be so nice to make them for myself, and my bridesmaids for the big day!

Hi - we have been handcrafting barefoot sandals, also called bottomless sandals or foot jewelry, since 2003!  I'd like to share one of our most popular selling designs called Forever Pearls where we used traditional pearls (Swarovski of course), Swarovski crystals, bright silver Heishi spacers and a beautiful Mother of Pearl medallion.  We have many designs in our wedding collection not only for brides but also bridesmaids and flower girls!

I love these and was so tempted to make some as well, but was a little worried about hot sand so think I might opt for boring old flip flops. Maybe I should make some anyway for the honeymoon.

These were my first attempt I think I'm going to make some for each of the women attending the wedding (out of inexpensive beads) and then after I make all those - I should be a pro.....lol....so then I will make MY bridal ones and I'll go buy some more expensive beads/crystals (like Swarovski!)

 

When I finally get around to making some more - I'll post them I hope others post theirs here too - I'd love some inspiration!

The good thing is if you don't like it you can cut the string and re-use the beads, There is a 50% coupon on swarvoski beads for ACMoore right now

I've started on these again - I've decided to *try* to do them for every female attending the wedding.....which means I have to make 28 pairs......oh dear! 5 down....23 to go.....lol.

I still plan on doing my bridal ones last - once I get better at it, and I'll use the more expensive Swarovski beads
