Here's the quote I received from Del Sol -

5 hour package, includes getting ready, ceremony, cocktails, sunset portraits, dinner/toasts, & reception. This includes a main photographer and an assistant.

There are 5 different photographers, they range from $2500-$5000.

Trash the dress sessions range from $3500-$5000.

Hello,

Pilar is currently on maternity leave and from what I understand she returns in the next few days. When you booked your date did you not receive the confirmation email with all your documentation and details? At the very least do you not have an email trail for your date? You should have had to sign the release forms for your credit card with the date application?

We booked our wedding 7 months ago and it was made explicitly clear that the external vendor fee is $350.00 not $150.00 or just a day pass? I booked an external DJ and will pay the $350.00

I can imagine this has been frustrating for you. I will say I have found Isela to be a dream. I have changed venues no problem, she responds to questions very quickly. I also found this thread to be a tremendous help for all answers.

You should still be able to get married on your day no problem. They have several weddings on most Saturdays for example. The only concession would be the reception venue.

Good luck getting this all sorted.

i only hd to pay a day pass for our photog and video, i think all other vendors were $350.

What photos are included in the Divine Wedding Package?

The Wedding Guide says 24 Color Photos Taken during the ceremony. Does it not include any taken afterwards on the beach of family / wedding party?

Also, the standard photo package 2 includes three hours of coverage (getting ready, ceremony, photo session, and cocktail party) for $950. Does anyone know how much it is if you are adding it on to the divine package since the ceremony is already included?

Did anyone purchases the standard photo package and then use the included photography for trash the dress? I don't want to pay $3000 for outside photographers but I want more than just the ceremony photographed.

Hey guys! I am trying to make my wedding program, but don't exactly know the order for the ceremony. We are doing a Symbolic ceremony. Do they have just a basic format for that?

No she just up and quit when she got pregnant...my travel agent spent hours arguing with them and they said they cannot honor anything Pilar said since she is no longer an employee...so date and time had to be changed! Sooo stressful.

And when I booked sept of 2013, photographers weren't considered as a "vendor" ...but now I'm being told that to use an outside photographer it's $150 per person from that company to just step foot on the resort and they can't eat or drink the whole day they're there!? Is anyone else who is using an outside photographer being told this?

Pilar being gone makes me nervous!! When I booked it was just a day pass because a photographer wasn't considered a vendor?

I'm thinking I should check in with the resort now!

That is exactly what happened to me! Please let me know what they tell you. I think it is unfair since when we originally booked, it was cheaper. :/

HI Ladies-

I am getting married at Now Jade July 11th and have been working on the planning form. On the form it says that the photographer fee is $65.

Thanks!

Marta

I spoke with them today and the day pass has been raised to 150 apparently because that is what I was quoted. Email as follows:

Greetings from Now Jade

The outside vendor fee is $350, ( florist, band, decoration company, live music) but this doesn't apply to photographers as they are not categorized as vendors. Your photographer(s) will be required to pay a $150.00 usd per person for a wedding day pass. We request the name and time that the photographers come to the resort.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
