I'm hoping for not a HUGHE group as well! It gets rather pricy! I know it's $53 pp extra for dinner, but I have decided not to do extra for cocktail hour... I've hear there should be enough food/drinks... We are canceling our dessert for dinner for 2 more o'dourves since its not needed since we will have the wedding cake, I hope that helps a little. What are your thoughts? Are u adding extra? $53 pp for dinner is pricy enough! Oh, I will be adding champagne at the end of the ceremony for $4 pp. Another thing, does anyone know if the package used to offer a complimentary room for the groom the night before the wedding? I thought I saw it in the past but it may have been a Dreams resort I'm thinking of.
I meant HUGE! Lol! Trying to type on my phone. Please excuse my errors..Sorry ladies! :)

I also thought it was $15pp per hour?  Wonder if she capped that amount now? great news about the DJ!

Hey Ladies,

I may have misunderstood a message Pilar sent to me... From what she said  I understood the ceremony, cocktail hour and 3 hour of reception was included in the divine wedding package. However it does also say over 3 hours of reception coverage it's $15per person and then below that it say the dj is $250 an hour. I am so confused!! I've asked Pilar to clarify the information... I'll keep you posted:) Sorry for the confusion.

I asked {ilar about the complimentary room for the Groom and they do not offer it frown.gif My FI will proably stay in onw of his guys rooms and I'll stay in ours.

We also have close to 80 guests so we saved $$ by cancelling cocktail hour and trading for extra dinners. We didn't upgrade the cake since dessert was included with dinner package. Would still like the champaign but I was thinking of doing a signature drink at reception maybe instead?

I know how stressfull it is to organize a group of that size! Only a few more months. We actually are not having the cocktail hour, so since we are paying for a private bar at the reception I hope they will have no problem making signature drinks for people. The ones I chose have pretty basic ingerdients so hopefully that will not be a problem..

 Hi Ladies,

After reading everyone's input regarding different pricing, I am very confused! Does anyone have an invoice you wouldn't mind sharing with me so I could get a better feel for what things actually cost and start to better plan my budget? Also, we have a few guests who do not want to stay at Now Jade. Does anyone know what the day pass fee is for the wedding day and is this the same for any other days they might want to visit the resort?

Thanks!

Lauren

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
