Good luck!! I am excited to hear how it goes. My family and friends are really happy that we booked this resort, I hope it lives up to the expectations.

Could anyone please send me the measurements for the chair bows?  I am thinking about making my own and bringing them down with me as opposed to renting them.

If anyone also has the measurements for the table runners for the circular tables, I would love to hear from you!  Thanks in advance!  Please email me at meaghen_russell@hotmail.com or respond to this messaged directly.

hello brides!

we have 72 guests booked - the resort just notified me today that they think the bamboo room may be too small for that many people. this concerns me, especially because they always knew how many people we were going to be having, and failed to mention this to us until now. so thats another piece of the story anyways.

have any of had that many people in the bamboo room and it was fine? does anyone have pictures of the bamboo room so i can get a better idea?

thanks!

Hi again,

Did anyone use an outside vendor for hair and makeup?  If so, did the resort charge you twice for the vendor fee - once when the stylist came in for the bridal trial, and again when they came back for the wedding day?

Thanks,

Meaghen

Speaking of hairstylist and makeup artist...how would the people from the resort know if the hairstylist was a vendor ($300) or a guest of someone in your group? The latter would only require a day pass which is about $100.

Some vendors would have a hard time being discrete like a photographer or DJ. I'm thinking a makeup artist or hairstylist can pack a beach tote and appear to be a guest for the day.

Hey! We just had our wedding last Thursday and are actually still here at the resort. It is amazing!!

We had a group of 80 in the Bamboo Room and it was awesome!! It was intimate but not at all cramped! The head table was along the bamboo wall and I had 7 tables in a semi circle around the sides. We also hired DJ Discomovil who was set up in the back corner and then a bar was set up in another corner. The middle was left for the dance floor and it was the perfect amount of space for 80 people. We didn't stop dancing until midnight!!

As for the serving staff requesting money....we never had any issues at all!! Everyone was so great! I will post some pics once we are home.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
