I actually ordered my table runners and chair bows (coral organza) online because it is going to be way cheaper than renting them at the resort. They charge $5 per chair and I ended up buying 30 chair sashes for only $12.  The resort does have a variety of colors/textures that was emailed to me.  If you send me your email I can send the colors over.

I'm using the resort photographer for the entire day package.  I'm getting married there February 28, so I can write a review on what I thought of them when we get back and post some pics!

MayFlowers2014 - may i ask where you ordered the organza from???? thanks!!!

Of course! I ordered them from BBCrafts.com

They have a lot of different colors available.  I got coral organza table runners which were $1.05 each (compared to $18-$25 at the resort for one table), and chair bows which were only $0.50!!! Compared to $5 per chair.  They are very nice quality and will not take up a ton of room in my luggage (I ordered 3 table runners and 30 chair bows).

Down to only days until we leave for Cancun!  I am so excited!  I am using Adventure Photos for the Complete wedding package.  I will let you know what I think of them.  We are having Fernanda be our photographer for the day.  Has anyone used her?

Does anyone know what the airport transportation is in the Devine package? - Taxi? Bus? Shuttle? And is it private?

Do you know if the resort will be able to give us the room numbers of our guests so we can deliver our own OOT Bags? Or do you all plan on having the resort deliver them?

I hope everything makes it there in one piece!

Hey everyone. So I'm currently talking with our photographer and planning our trash the dress session. We can either choose to do it 3 days after the wedding (which I'm afraid will interfere with drinking and fun with friends the night before..plus that means I'll have to be extra careful about sun-burn and not overindulging so I can still look good in my dress)....or we can do it the day before anyone arrives since were going down a few days early to settle any last minute plans. The second one sounds temping since we probably will avoid partying too hard before the wedding since it'll just be us, we wanna look good, and they'll be things to do...I was also thinking that doing it before would be good because I could test out hair and makeup before the actual big day...butttttt this would mean I'd have to buy another dress....thoughts? Tips?

Also, does anyone know how early the salon opens? Our trash the dress session is going to be at sunrise because that's the only time the sun is over the ocean on that side of Mexico. I'm worried the salon won't be open early enough.

Any suggestions/thoughts would be greatly appreciated since I would like to lock in our photographer ASAP!

I am going to do my TTD session 2 days after the wedding. I purchased a second dress to do it in since i didnt want to go in my wedding dress in the water. it was super cheap from davids bridal i think like 99$. thats always an option...

As far as hair and makeup my photgrapher told me most woman just do their own hair since its going to just get wet anyways any messed up. and makeup, either have the salon do it or just buy waterproof makeup and do it yourself :)

Im pretty positive they are private transfers but not sure if its a taxi or what..  I have the same question with the room numbers because i want to give them out myself also just to make sure everyone gets one. I would hate it if there was a mix up and someone didnt receive..

Its so exciting that youre leaving soon!!! GOOd Luck with everything and let us know how everything went!!!

It is a little pricey to have the welcome bags delivered to the room by the resort, so we plan on having an informal welcome cocktail party the night everyone arrives and then handing them out then.

The shuttle is private, it was a van for us.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
