I would imagine they will be contacting you once you submit your form filled for the 45 day deadline.

Well now I'm getting a little nervous... I have not received any forms to be filled out. The only things I've filled out is my information I sent in when I first booked the date. Am I missing something?

My sheet came with my confirmation after I paid my deposit.

We have almost 100 guests.... the cost add up really fast for the reception dinner for any number of guests over 25. What did other people do that had a lot of guests?

Is it cheaper to have a buffet at the reception instead of a sit down meal?

Can we have part of the actual buffet restaurant reserved for us and then use our 3 hours of reception time for cake cutting, speeches, and dancing? I know this isn't the nicest option but it could save a lot of money.

Any other thoughts?

I am also having the same problem.....we have 80 people and counting right now and i am getting scared, money wise haha.

I am also considering the buffet, and also for the fact of the portions for the plated dinner don't seem all that large and i would hate to pay that much money per plate and have guests (and myself) still hungry!

So we've come to the conclusion that the resort photographer isn't going to work out. I don't want to chance him having a bad day on OUR day, and looking back on past brides, I'm scared! I've contacted Gonzalo Nunez, and we're pretty excited bc his portfolio is amazing! Any thoughts ladies??

I also did not want to chance the resort photographer! we also hired an outside one and so far i am super glad with that decision, i think you will be too!

Hi ladies,

For those who have already had your special day.... How many meal options were you allowed to choose from?

I'd like to allow my guests the choice from 2 items however i also have a few Gluten free guests attending.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks :)

You normally get to choose between 2 items, example: beef or fish. I havent been married there yet but that is what i have been reading on here and also on the menu! hope that helps.

I believe you can pick two entrees, but if you have guests with special needs that would be considered separate. We had a guest with allergies to shellfish and we were able to have him served something totally different. You'll probably want to confirm that in writing from the WC though!

Hi ladies,

Did you bring your own table linen or does the resort have a variety of colors for the table linen??

What colors do they have??

Thanks  :)

They provide white linens, but anything else you can rent from them (agree with the other post, very expensive), or you can bring your own. We bought some off ebay for a fraction of the cost of renting and brought them down with us. I was just able to resell them this week to to help recoup some of the costs!

I believe it is the same cost to have the buffet as it is the sit down meal, just more options, and more food.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
