I don't know if we get the 20% on that but I just schedules hair and make-up trial. I don't want any surprises on my wedding day. I scheduled it for the day of our welcome party when we already have the meeting with the coordinator and the cake testing. I figured I get everything out of the way in one day so I can enjoy the rest :)

That is great.  When Deisy sent me back my quote, she said to ask for her in the Preferred Lounge, so hopefully we get the upgrade.  I got in touch with the spa and they said we do get 20% on our trials.  So, for a hair and makeup trial, it was $97 with our discount I believe.  I am not worried about makeup, but hair, definitely.

How did you get a cake testing?  Where are you doing your welcome party?

Hi Brides to be!  I just came back from our wedding at Now Jade.  It was the most incredible & memorable experience.

They really have it under control.  Just so you know Pilar is out on medical leave, so Deisy has been taking care of all the details.  She is fantastic and so even tempered and positive.

In terms of doing a test run for hair and make up - I thought of it, but was so busy floating in the ocean with all of our friends and family that it became a low priority.  The stylists are great and really do the hair and makeup to what you want.  It seems that the make up is a lot at first but it stays on all night plus photographs great.

Don't worry brides to be - just as other brides said, NJ will take care of you.  I literally went through the consultation and went through my suitcase of items.  Deisy had it all down, and it turned out perfect.  I would recommend being as organized as possible.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I will prob get to my review later in the month.

Congratulations and thank you for the quick update! Again, always refreshing to hear that even though our emails may sit unanswered that things will be looked after once we arrive! Looking forward to reading your review.

Hopefully Pilar is okay!

Leaving in 3.5 weeks for our wedding! Getting super excited and a little overwhelmed with all the last minute stuff. I started picking out the music for the ceremony/cocktail hour (which is actually difficult!), but was just wondering if anyone knows how many songs I need? I have 4 for while guests are being seated, 2 for parents seating/bridesmaids, 1 for me, and one for our exit. I have about 18 songs for cocktail hour. I'd rather have more than not enough! Does anyone have a better idea of how many I should have?

Thanks!

Lauren

Hi All, Im getting married at bow Jade this October and getting a little nervous. Can anyone advise on how long you have the photog for with the Devine package, are they any good and would you suggest getting another photog on top of the one included. Really appreciate some help Tash
Hi Tash, I'm getting married October 11th! We hired an outside photographer for 6 hours and are using the photog from the Divine package for our catamaran cruise rehearsal dinner. I visited Now Jade in May and they showed us some photos from the resort photographer and they looked decent!

I didn't receive a quote but oh well - not sweating anything. I trust that they have everything under control. We are just having the welcome party in the lobby. Everyone can just get drinks and mingle without us paying extra. The guests will get the ott bags there. I just asked if we could do a cake testing and Pilar said yes. yay! I am glad we get the discount. :)thanks for the info.

This thread has been so helpful! I feel like I already have a wealth of information and we haven't even officially booked our date yet. (Because all the ones I want are taken and i LOVE this resort)! So glad I found this website :)

Hi,

We are considering upgrading to the Devine Package, but my only concern is the photographer is only for the ceremony.....are there any brides out there that had the divine package and used the photgrapher? if so what photo's did he take and were you happy with them?

Did they do any group photo's, Photo's on the beach etc, romantic photos of the bride and groom?

also if you did use have the devine package are the linen table clothes all included in the package or do we have to pay extra for them?

Thank you

Sarah

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
