Also, we booked a room in a beach town (Cape Cod, MA) to have a weekend of beach bumming, dining, and some bar hopping :)

EVERYONE. And it definitely wasn't due to overindulgence of alcohol! One of our groomsmen was so sick, he had to leave right after the ceremony and we didn't see him for the rest of the night. Could just have been the sun, maybe too much food, maybe the ice cubes, who knows? But everyone felt awful. Do yourself a favour and pack LOTS of Imodium! It actually became the running joke of the week. Whenever someone was missing, we knew they were in the can

I am posting this question in this forum because i cannot find any active forums reagrding Bachelorette parties and when to have them!

We are getting married on Jan. 09 2014 at the Now Jade. We depart on Jan 05 2014. My MOH and mother have planned my bridal shower for September 22 2013. (They planned it early because we live in Calgary Canada and some people will have to travel to get here so we didnt want it to be in the dead of winter).

Now I am struggling as to when my Bachelorette should be...?!?! I dont really want it in the dead of winter becuase I want to be able to wear a cute dress and I just hate going out in the freezing cold. At the same time, I dont think that i want it really far away from our wedding date as that just feels weird to me....

What are you ladies planning on doing? What have past brides done?? I need to wrap my head around this lol!

        Any thought/ideas/suggestions are WELCOME plsssss!!

Thanks ladies, i love this site :)

Hi We have decided to do ours in Mexico (since our wedding party is on the other side of Canada). We arrive Sat Nov 23, bachelor/bachelorette on Sun Nov 24 and Wedding Tues Nov 26 (so we have a day to recover). The bachelor party will be on the resort and the girls are going to Playa.

Quick question about rates for April/May NJ brides: what kind of group rates are you getting right now?  I've also read somewhere that people have gotten free RT transportation from the airport for booking through the website.  Can anyone confirm that this is true? Thanks!

I think the RT transportation is part of the package for the bride and groom, but they might have a special promo going on.  All of our guests received RT transportation with our travel agent, Apple Vacations.

Is anyone hiring outside videographers? I think the video included with the package is only for the ceremony

I've hired http://limelightstudios.ca/ and will be bring them to NJ with us. Hiring a videographer was never something I thought I would ever do, but I fell in love with their videos and am so excited to see what they'll be able to produce for us. It was a bit of a splurge, but I hope we'll be able to watch the videos on our anniversaries to help us remember all the smaller details!

There's even 2 other videos on their blog from other NJ weddings they've been to.
