I thought I read in one of the reviews that a previous bride had purchased a CD with her photos on it (all of the photos taken in the 2 hours they booked him for, paying an extra $100/hr for the second hour) for around $500?

Also in the information section of this thread (under photography) it says:

You can possibly buy the CD with all the pictures (unedited?) for an additional $350   (I'm assuming this is based on what a previous bride was able to do.)

Totally agree with you Kerri! I recently got married at the now jade and went with my own photographer and it was so worth it!

To all recent Brides or those who have inquired: Are the Bride and Groom included in the 25 guest list count? Shannonmarie asked this question a week or two ago and Iâ€ve been really curious as to what the accurate answer is. I would ask Pilar, but since weâ€re in the midst of peak wedding season, I just assumed that I would probably get a quicker response here on BDW. Thanks

Thanks for taking the time to write such a thorough review. Your photos are phenomal and congrats to you and your groom! I do have a couple of questions whenever you get a moment: Did you have the resorts officiant marry you? if so what did you and your guest think of his/her accent, was it thick and hard to understand? What are your suggestions/tips for safely traveling with glass vases and avoiding items from breaking i.e. bubble wrap, hardcase luggage...? Thanks

Your welcome! Yes, the resort picked the officiant.  I don't remember her name but she was really good. I was also worried about not being able to understand her but she spoke pretty well even with her accent she was very clear.  She did a good job and said really nice words. She read some kind of poem as well it was kind of giving advice. Not sure if they all have a different way of doing things.

I didn't want to risk putting the vases under the plane because I know how much they get tossed so I made each person bring on a carry on.  I didn't really need to wrap them up because they didn't leave my sight and we were just careful handling them.  Everything else I wasn't too worried about but I had collected bubble wrap and packaging materials for a while and wrapped some things with them.  Everything ended up making it there safe except on little message in a bottle.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
