Just booked our wedding for May 30 2013 at the Now Jade! Yay! We picked the Pergola deck (ceremony) and Bamboo room (reception)... Any recommendations cocktail hour? I think there is a terrace outside the bamboo room, which I thought might be a nice option... that way our guests aren't walking to a new location so many times. Any ideas?

Also, just wondering if anybody has any color suggestions! We love purple--- but I haven't seen many purple options through the resort! Their color choices seem more limited, so just wondering if anybody else has had purple incorporated in!

Congrats on your wedding!! I suggest the beach bar for the cocktail hour. It is right next to the Pergola and it is kind of seperated so you would have more privacy than some of the other options for the cocktail hour.

I used fuschia and green for my colors and I loved it because it was bright and fun! I say go for purple...it will look great with the beach and ocean backdrop!

I was thinking of going to the get linens and fabrics for decor and was wondering if Pilar charges to put the decor up at the wedding. I know I am going to buy bows here for the chairs and she charges the $1 ironing fee but does she charge for us to bring our own linens for the tables?

You will not be charged for your own linens. I brought table runners and wasn't charged. I was quoted $40 for hanging the paper lanterns that I brought but I was never charged that.

Hello Now Jade Brides,

I just wanted to share my experience. We were married there last weekon Sept 26. EVERYTHING went perfectly. Pilar and Delel were amazing. Once we arrived, we met with Pilar and she took notes on everything we wanted done for the ceremony and reception. We brought alot of our own decorations (chair bows, table runners, hanging balls, etc). They was no additional charges to set these things up. We used Federico with Adventure photos and he was great. We upgraded to the whole day package for photos. He was very patient with us and took all of our suggestions for pictures that we wanted to have. After meeting with them, I did not have a single concern or worry, except if it would rain or not! I could not have asked for anything better. We were able to enjoy our time with our friends and family.

We purchased the Divine package and had 25 guests. Instead of the cocktail hour, we had a private welcome party at the Mix bar after everyone had arrived. We had our ceremony on the beach and reception in the Bamboo room. The waiters were excellent, especially Marco. He never let my wine glass get half empty! I wouldn't worry about paying for a private bar. The was no shoratage of drinks flowing.

The couples massage and romantic dinner in the beach are definitely perks to the Divine package.

If anyone has any questions, please let me know. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

We also did a cenote TTD session with Pierre Voille. If you have the extra money to splurge, do it!!!!! It was spectacular. Check out his website to see his work.

One very happy bride,

Erica

Hi everyone!!

I'm getting married at the now jade on November 30th ,2013 and have found this thread so helpful I do however have more questions and would love to see pictures of the beach ceremony and pergola ceremony (I'm torn between them) and the ocean view terrace as a reception spot I would LOVE to hear ideas on decorations and the cheapest way to do them and whats included with the wedding ceremony and reception?  Also I need opinions on fake flowers vs real flowers I would really love to do real but just seems so expensive.  I think I read about the buffet option it has to be over 50 people but does anyone know the cost of it? I may seem all over the place and I do apologise it's because I am a control freak, scatter brain I have no idea where to start and just want everything to be perfect! lol any info anyone has to give would help me BIG TIME!!!! lol wacko.gif  Happy planning everyone!!! msnwink.gif

I believe the buffet is the same price as the divine dinner 53 per person above 25 guests that are included in your package. On the first page of this thread there is also tons of photos of the different loccations. Hope that helps some =)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
