We were married last Tuesday. Everything was amazing. The coordinators are on top of everything. I regret how much I stressed over it now. I'll try to write a review soon. Let me know if anyone has specific questions such as cost break down!!!

This is serious advice to really take to heart! Honestly, the wedding coordinators know what they are doing and want to make you happy!! I was pretty relaxed about all the planning and details and it was absolutely perfect, I think it actually made everyone else more confused because every question I was asked prior was.....hmmmm, I'm not sure but it will be fine! I even earned the nickname 'Bride-chilla' lol

ENJOY IT LADIES!

I agree. I was completely stressed the week before the wedding, and then my husband told me to stop worrying about things I couldn't control. I calmed down, I gave Carmen all my decorations I brought and showed her a few pictures. Everything was PERFECT...

No need to stress. They do weddings daily.

Hello ladies, I can't believe that we have been married 50 days now! It is surreal doing up the thank you vards and going through pictures.

Since I have the wedding planning void, I am just in the planning stages of starting an Etsy business (for wedding stuff, I DIY'd just about everything) when we return from our Honeymoon. One of the things I am going to sell is little "emergency kits" for the welcome bags, with tide sink packs, some tylenol, pepto etc if you are interested at all let me know! I can send pictures. Some of the things went over really well and I am glad we did them!

We are getting married at Now Jade Riviera in April 2015. When we booked I didn't put my locations since I hadn't receive a lot of photos or max-min capacity of the reception locations. So Pilar went ahead and filled those spots in for me. After receiving the information we wanted the deck terrace but now it's all booked up and she has us at Castaways. We are a small group of around 35 people and I am worried castaways is going to be too big for such a small group. We want dancing and a dj, but don't want this big open empty spaces everywhere. She has given us the option of the pool side reception and sent us a few photos. We like the idea of the smaller more intimate space but after reading a bunch of posts here we are worried about how loud the beach will be, the bugs, how dark it gets and because it's so small I don't know where they are going to put the dance floor.

We need help figuring out which area to have our reception. Who has done the poolside reception there and how was it? Who has had a reception at Castaways with a smaller group (35 people with a few kids) How did it work out, was the room really big and empty feeling?

I need to get back to Pilar here very soon with my decision. Any suggestion would be helpful.

Thank you.

We had our reception pool side, no bugs, couldn't even hear the beach...but I also don't know where they would put a dance floor. It would be very broken up I imagine...

Castaways is a large space, but it's somewhat divided by half wall barrier, so it might feel intimate once it's all set up...

We had 20 ppl. And they lit the pool area nicely...it was difficult for pictures though outside in the dark.

    • we ended up using Facebook messenger when we were in Mexico - the hotel had free wifi and at least 1 person from each family/couple had FB on their phone already - it was pretty easy to communicate among guests "hey, we're heading to the beach bbq for lunch." or "everyone is hanging at the small pool today".  a plus was that some people tried to get a hold of me via FB on the day of the wedding and I was totally not checking my phone - they were asking if the wedding was outside given the rain forecast, thankful my mom, MOH and a few other friends were on the group and could respond for me :)

    • Hi Everyone, So, I was cleaning out my closet and realized that I never sold off my extra wedding OOT bag stuff from our wonderful DW.   46 Daily Spanish for Dummies 30 Pool colored OOT fabric bags - approximately 13in x 13in. They lay flat.  I used them for our wedding and they were perfect for everything we needed to fit in each bag. There’s a slight shade variation in the group; I’m guessing some were cut from a different bolt of fabric.  They are also a little wrinkled from storage and will probably be wrinkled from shipping. I have three additional ones, but they somehow got something on them (likely toddler related). If needed, I can try to wash it out and send those as well.
    • I’m getting married in six months to my foreign girlfriend. I was advised by a friend that one of the things I need to do before saying I do is to get a prenuptial agreement. Basically it’s supposed to protect my assets and properties in case my relationship with my future wife goes down the drain. I don’t know though if this is an acceptable practice when marrying Kiev ladies. I don’t want to do it if it would be insulting on her end. I need advice on this. Please help me.
