Hi Ladies!

I am getting married on November 1st of this year at the Pergola, Cocktail hour at the Mix Bar and the reception on the terrace. We are having about 32 people. Does anyone know if the space is spacey enough for dancing? Also, I love the long tables instead of the round. Does anyone know how many long tables can fit on the terrace and how many can be seated at each table?

THANKS!

With 32 people you will be fine... The tables come in sizes to fit 12, 16, and 20 but can be pushed together to make one long one. I have 38 and was worried about the dance floor and made a last minute switch to the bamboo room as the dance floor is important to me and I heard its really small!

Does anyone happen to now if there are alternitives/different dinner choices for the Eternity Package?

Our choices for our main course are

Scallop and Mahi-mahi wrapped with Bacon served in a Beurre Blanc Cajun style Sauce and Mixed Vegetables

or

Pork Tournedo Medallion with Smoked Prosciutto, Sweet Potatoes and Honey Puree with a Mushroom Sauce

Has anyone tried either one of these dishes? Any feedback or a picture would be much appreciated :)

Oh and I should add..

Are the 2 Gluten Free Menu options and the 3 Vegetarian Menu options available in addition to the 2 Eternity Menu Options?

I would prefer to keep it simple and allow our guests to choose from 3 options..

I don't see the need in having the dessert as part of the dinner.. None of our guests care for dessert and given that there will be wedding cake.. Has anyone chosen not to have dessert with their dinner? Can it be substituted for something else?

I feel the same way about the dessert! No need for wedding cake AND dessert. We are opting for 2 more apps during cocktail hour in place of the dessert.

Glad I am not the only one that thinks so. That's a good idea!

We have decided to axe the cocktail hour.. it gives us an additional 4 meals for dinner and we need to cut cost where possible.. All these add ons are really adding on!

Hi Dutchie,

i don't think swapping the meals is possible, unless you've opted for the higher priced pkg- ie. we're doing the divine pkg, so Pilar said we could choose anything from the divine menus, or we ould use anything in any lower priced pkg.  but as far as I know, it doesn't work the opposite way.

You're not kidding! We were originally only expecting 40 people max, but now it's looking like we may have over 50! I was hoping that wasn't going to happen, don't get me wrong, I'm delighted that so many people are coming, but the cost just gets insane! I'm surprised you only get 4 additional meals in exchange for not having cocktail hour! That's stinks! So will you have your guest just go to the lobby or beach bar after the ceremony, before the reception?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
