Shannon, I got a response and am pissed. No more "all pictures for $350" or $1 per picture. No $300 discount for brides that get married later than July. Like, really? Not only did they raise the package prices for 2013, nope, photography just got $300 more expensive than expected. Not a happy camper here right now. It is good for you still though. Here it is:

Hi,    Yes that is correct, we used to give the $ $300 Credit towards the divine package for Weddings booked before July, so It is still possible to find brides who got the $ 300 discount, but again this applies only for previously confirmed dates.    Now trying a different aproach, maybe you can opt for a different package (e.g. the 3 hour coverage) and then just buy extra photographs.   Normally we sell each extra photo for $ 15, however if you decide to purchase additional pictures I can offer you a volume discount as follows:   30 images for the price of 20 - US$ 299 that's 33% off;  40 images for the price of 30 - US$ 399 that's 34% off; All your photos for US$ 499 that's an amazing 45% off!!   Don't hesitate to write or call again if you have any further questions or comments   All the Best   Federico     On Feb 19, 2013, at 8:25 PM, Nicole Graf wrote:   I believe there is some inconsistency. I have heard from brides that got a $300 credit towards the full day package ($150 if you use an outside photographer), which would leave us with $700 and we would like to purchase more pictures, therefore our $800 frame. We won't need pictures from the spa really. I am sorry to be such a pain but I would rather figure this out earlier than later. :)    Thanks and I am excited to have you take our pictures!    Sent from my iPhone   On Feb 19, 2013, at 7:22 PM, "NOW JADE" <[email protected]> wrote:   Perfect, with the full day coverage you will get coverage as at the SPA, as you get ready, during the ceremony, group and family photos, the private photo session with you and your Groom; photos during your cocktail party, plus coverage during your reception (cake cutting, speeches, garter and bouquet toss). We give you 100 photos burnt on a CD with the license for them. This upgrade costs  US $ 999.  I can give you an US $ 150 discount since you already got the Divine wedding package. After edition we create a catalogue with all your photos and you have to visit our photo gallery so you can choose your favorite ones.  In addition to this you receive a beautiful hard cover photo book with 80 images printed inside.   How does that sound to you guys?   Best   Federico

I'm giving the option of Beef Fillet or Mahi Mahi on the RSVP. I'm choosing the Mixed Lettuce and Spinach salad to start, then Lobster Bisque for the second course. So the only thing they will choose is the Entree.  And then just wedding cake for the dessert. I opted out of the dessert that comes with dinner b/c we will have wedding cake. I am getting 2 extra o'dourves at cocktail hour instead.

I have no idea but if you have the money to go with him, do it. I hear his work is great. :-)

I have tried to ask this question twice now, and it seems to get lost in translation because I never get an snwer that helps me any.  Based on the input from previos brides, my assumption is that the photo coverage is flexible and doesn't have to be used solely for ceremony coverage.  I know of other brides who have contracted outside photographers and used the Adventure Photos for a TTD session, welcome dinner coverage...etc.  So I hope that it's flexible, beacuse I'm planning to do that same as you. I have contracted Sascha for 4 hours of wedding day coverage excluding any reception time. We shall see.

That's exactly what I just did - we used Sweetfire Photography on the wedding day (who were AMAZING, highly recommend!) and then used Adventure photo for a TTD session 2 days later.  The TTD session was about 2 hrs and we stuck around the resort (in the ocean and pool).  The photos were ready by the end of the day for us to check out - they don't really do much in the way of edit/touch up work - and we got a DVD with our selected images plus the book included in the Divine package.  The package is for 24 pics so we had to pay $15/picture to purchase 7-8 more we liked...they only offered a bulk discount if we were interested in purchasing all the photos from the session.

I told Pilar my plan before arriving there - she CC'd Fredico on my email requesting a date/time and then at our planning meeting after arriving at the resort he came in to the meeting to confirm the details.

We used Catamarans Cancun  - it was an awesome time!  We had 35 people for 4 hours - open bar and snorkeling were included and we paid $1300 for the boat plus $70/van (each held 11 people) for the transportation from Now Jade to the marina which was in Cancun (about 40 minutes away).  Everyone had a blast - the service was amazing on the boat and there was a photographer there who took photos on the boat and underwater as we snorkeled. He was an additional fee - about $200 for a disk with all his images but worth it for the great shots of everyone!  Our contact at Catamarans Cancun was Cecilia.

Hello,

Can anyone tell me if buffet is an option for the reception dinner? We will probably have about 40 people and I do not like the menu options for the eternity of divine packages. I understand you have to do buffet for 50 people or more but we would like to do it anyways!

Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
