I'm getting married at Now Sapphire, so it might not be the same at Jade. I sent my WC "inspiration" photos and explained what I wanted. He was able to get me a quote to provide that. In some cases, there was no extra charge. It depended on the flowers I wanted (some are more expensive than what's included in the package). Might be worth asking your WC what other options might be available.

Also, before I asked about completely different options, he did tell me I could specify the colors I wanted. Not sure how that works exactly, as not all flowers come in all colors. I guess they would just substitute some of the flowers in the selected bouquet to get the right colors.

I also sent my coordinator pictures of bouquets that I did like and she sent me back some quotes. Many were crazy expensive so I ended up going with the color palette I liked in flowers that were included. They will work with you in them, just send pictures!

Excellent! Thank you for the feedback on flowers. I will find some pictures online. I have sent a few pictures and the prices that came back were shocking. The roses and lilies are beautiful.

One more questions. Did anyone use DJ Movil? What was the vendor fee? They prices seem really good but I dont want to be blind sided by the hotel wanting a crazy amount for us to use them. We understand the fee is 350. Is that correct?

I'm baaaaaaack from the Now Jade!

Just as so many brides before me have said...everything was PERFECT!

Seriously, stop worrying right now - these people know what they're doing!I

I have a million things I want to write about and review that I don't have time for this second, but here are my biggest pieces of advice for now:'

1) Don't obsess and stress over the tiny detailed decorations - for me, everyone was having too much fun to even notice (including me). Invest in your dress, DJ, and photographer, and the rest are minor details.

2) Wear your hair up or back in some way.  It's breezy, hot, and sticky, and down loose hair seems to me like it would be a disaster, especially for pictures.

3) Hire Photos in Cancun for your photographers.  I'm going to write a whole separate post about them since we had the most amazing experience, but for now you can go to my Facebook for our pictures (they give you every. single. picture. they take right at the end of the night, and these ones aren't even edited yet).  To summarize how amazing they were, with 60 guests who all wanted so many pictures with us after the wedding, we ended up only having 10 minutes for bride and groom pictures, so they picked us up another day at a different resort, drove us to 3 different locations, spent 4 hours taking pictures of us, and then bought us a drink afterwards....for FREE, just to make sure we got the best experience possible. Seriously - if you haven't found a photographer yet, stop looking and hire them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
