OFFICIAL NOW Jade Wedding Thread

Recommended Posts

@@breezie I'm at Now Sapphire, but my WC said we can pick the colors of the accents on the cake (ribbon, flowers, etc.). Note that flowers on the cake cost extra. I believe it is the same for Now Jade.

If you have ceremony flowers could they pick some from there to use on your cake? Just a thought so as not to pay more. That's what I did lol.

Not sure... I know our package comes with flowers that I don't want (2 wrist corsages) and I was told we could swap those for the cake flowers, so there is a little give & take.

Awesome! I shouldn't say I did this on purpose I just know I didn't pay for flowers on the cake and I know she took some from the hanging flowers for the cake. Sooooo just throwing it out. Glad there is give and take. Sucks not to be able to use things you pay for :)

Awesome!! Thanks for all the feed back!!

What a great idea to use flowers that come in the package they you arent using. I am making all my flowers and boutonnieres, because i am worried they wont match mine and my grooms. So I will have a few options :)

I didn't realise this either. I've already ordered my cake & there was no mention of extra costs for cake flowers. Thanks for heads up, must look into this!

@@leggi - I just checked the Now Jade wedding booklet that I received when I was considering this resort. It doesn't say anything about the flowers not being included, so perhaps my assumption that it was the same as Now Sapphire is incorrect. It was pretty clear in the Now Sapphire wedding booklet that the flowers are extra. Sorry if I've lead anyone astray!

Oh my gosh...I'm 44 days away! It seems like just yesterday I was just getting on this forum to start planning and now everything is almost set!

I have to show off some of the adorable beachy decorations from my shower this past weekend, all made by my mom, my friends, and my friend's moms! With the bachelorette/shower all over, it really means I'm in the home stretch!

And of course, you can't have your bachelorette party without a tutu  ;)

Ok so my wedding isn't until wed but we arrived yesterday and it's been a wonderful experience since walking into the resort...everyone has been super friendly and accommodating. We are in the preferred club and any request we made has been met fast....like a rollaway bed for our son, my daughter requesting certain fruits at all meals (she's 3) and the waiters just get it for her.....had our meeting with pilar today and she was fantastic....I was a mess all until we arrived and it really did just all work out....so cliche I know lol. Even at dinner we said it felt like bugs were out and the waited brought bug gel for our table. Food has been good too....haven't had one complaint yet and there are about 20 here so far....rest of guests arrive tomm. Any info or pics you guys want let me know....the wifi is great so I should be able to reply relatively quick!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
