OFFICIAL NOW Jade Wedding Thread

The sports club turns into a night club at like 9:00. We had a blast there every night. They play good music and we danced until it closed several of the nights. The bartenders in there were great and shots were flowing. We had a group of 70 of us so we made sure it was a great time in there. As long as you know how to have fun then you will never be bored. We had 18-20 year olds that lived in the disco. My friends are all in their low 30s and we were there most nights. And even the rest of our group had a great time.

So the sports bar basically is the night club ... with a DJ and all ?? woosh.. I was a bit worried it was going to just be dead from 10 PM on. I myself would get a bit bored. I don't even go to bed at 10 PM on a normal weeknight to do it on vacation. @@Meg32IL

Hey ladies!!! I wanted to know if anyone has any info on the family suites? . I have a guest that will need an extra bed room for her teenage daughter and we looked online can't find anything to view a family suite. Are they just 2 suits joined by a door ? Or are there suites with a larger living room and a pull out sofa bed or with an extra bed room? I asked my TA and all she did was send me the description we saw online which didn't clarify. Thank you for the help!!

So my wedding is may 6.....pilar called me 2 weeks ago but I missed the call and have been emailing back and forth with still no return call....today I have a message from my new coordinator Pamela....ah! Lol anyone know anything about her? She came off as nice and I'm excited to talk with her tomm bc I never got anywhere with pilar and feel like I just went off posts here rather then deal with the hassle of waiting so long for email replies...I think once I speak with her on the phone I will be calmer but I'm getting nervous we are so close and I have so much not finalized lol

Question for any who have been at now jade since they started the unlimited connectivity thing....is the wifi free with this or do you have to pay per device? We are staying preferred but I thought it was only for 1 device....and we have 2 kids who are addicted to their internet so would like them to have access sometimes and not just in the lounge....I tried googling but didn't find anything

Hi! Yay, May 6 is coming up so quickly! You must be so excited! In connecting with the wedding coordinators, I never actually spoke to anyone on the phone, my coordinator was Isela and she was fantastic, it seems like they do nothing but everything comes together quite easily once you are there and have your meeting with them! I actually only emailed back and forth about three times besides sending in my final wedding package papers and then made sure I asked any questions during the meeting with her.

As for the wifi, the unlimited connectivity sort of began while we were there, it is more the app that would have been useful to find other people, but the wifi was always free, sometimes it was a little spotty and dropped off but we never had much if an issue with it. Both my husband and I used WhatsApp in our phones and could still use our iPads/computers and stuff.

Ok so I spoke with Pamela and feel at ease....basically any decisions I still need to make she went over and I have to email her my choices (like apps)...and I have to send all my vendor names they need exact names for the day passes.....also she sent a tentative bill the one thing I am not happy with is the 150 vendor fee for photographers plus their daypass....and I also need to feed them but I'm gonna email asking what they are usually fed cuz maybe I can do a cheaper dinner for them not 53 for my divine menu....I'm sure they don't want a heavy meal inbetween tuning around and taking picks anyway ya know....one less stress on my mind lol

Couldn't you say the same for everyone attending the wedding? But I guess it would depend on if the photographer(s) could leave the wedding to visit the buffet. Im just looking at photographers now and one does specify that they need a meal but could eat off the room service menu, which would be at no cost at our resort (although where would they have that delivered?).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
