OFFICIAL NOW Jade Wedding Thread

I tipped everyone who did anything for us that worked for the resort, the mix bar bartender the servers at the reception, wedding coordinator, hair and make up stylist. I didn't tip the resort photographer, but only because I forgot all my cash in the room because we did a trash the dress session.

We had a wedding of about 20 ppl, I gave Carmen 50, each server and the bartender 20, hair dresser 20. I believe that some other members of my wedding party also tipped them more, like my dad and father in law

That was in American dollars

Sweet! Thanks! That helps! I was going to set aside envelopes and have my MO give them out at the end of the night or when ever we would last see them.... I was thinking 100$ (american) each but wasnt sure if that was way too much or not enough LOL. I never know how much to tip...

Hey ladies!! I just got the spa price list and just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the prices have gone up from what this thread says. An up do for short hair is $65 and long hair is $75 and make up application is $65. Might help with budgeting and what not!

And my uncle, who is a minister and going to be marrying us just sent us the first draft of our ceremony....whoa! I think I need to read it a few times so I'm not crying like a baby on the big day!! And we just picked up our marriage license yesterday! Things are really coming together now!!

Do you still have a copy of the spa price list?

How do I make an appointment for my hair and makeup?

I was very pleased with my hair and makeup. They don't speak much English but if you bring pictures I'm sure they can match about anything. They do hair all day long and I think they know what they are doing. Of course there will be the occasional makeup touch up to perfect it just as you like.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
