I still have no idea on music for ceremony. We have the guitarist and I have his play list but it is impossible to choose. I want modern songs, not just the regular ceremony songs

We are bringing fake flowers for the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Then using the included flowers with the package for the bride, groom, parents, and officiant.

Our welcome bags are finally complete. Now to finalize some simple décor for the reception.

Anyone else having the welcome reception? Are you bringing any décor for this?

im not bringing much for the reception - table luminiers that serve as centerpieces and table #'s and chair bows

i think that is pretty much it

i hired an outside dj and does the uplighting and cold fireworks so i feel like that would be enough decor

im still deciding what to do for rehearsal dinner/welcome party - they sent me some info on pricing and i cant see paying money for that when its all inclusive - think im just going to have people meet in lobby - maybe bring some chips and dip ( no clue where i would get that from though)

Sounds like ours are very similar. We are doing ceremony 4pm at Pergola, cocktails 5pm at Beach Bar and reception starts at 6:00 in Bamboo room. We also hired an outside DJ with the fun stuff :)

We are doing welcome cocktails in the lobby because I agree, they want to charge too much for the restaurants. Which makes me think I will have to pay for the rehearsal dinner. ( not organized yet)

Trying to explain to the fiance about all the extra costs has been a bit of a struggle. And it's the unknown that's bothering me . We choose a destination because we thought most of the items were included.( and for budget, just built a home :)

And now I'm reading how much they want to charge for flowers??? That's crazy! What did they look like? Lol.. Was that for your bouquet or for everything ?

Still working on the music lol. Who knew it would be this difficult.

For reception, we are brining table runners, candles and decor for the tables.

Oh well I'm hoping everything comes together in the next 41/2 months :)

Is anyone been dealing with Isela as a wedding coordinator? We are getting married in 16 days and I emailed her and did not hear back and she has always been a dream. Today I got an email that said Isela is out of office and I have a new coordinator (Carmen) Has anyone heard if she is coming back?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
