Yes, well we're coming from Scotland so it was a lot to ask of people to come along! I'm sure I'll still have a fab day though. Do you mind sharing what you're planning for your day? Where your reception is etc?

We are only bringing immediate family and our very close friends. We did not even invite anyone else. Originally we planned for the bamboo room, however I'm starting to reconsider and thinking about the pool area. I think the bamboo room might be too large. Pilar said I could decide when we arrived because they're both available and we currently have the room booked already.

 

We have the pergola booked for the ceremony. No wedding party since we have so few guests. I'm taking as little decor as I can. Mostly just linens and paper lanterns. I booked @@MomentsThatMatter photography. Booked the divine package. Purple and Mint are my colors. My dress just got here this week and as soon as altered we're nearly done! And I'm excited.

 

The closer we get to the date the happier I am that we decided on a destination wedding.

@@amarie4713 Thanks so much for sharing! We are similar though no colours chosen yet. I'm heading to Mexicofor the personal experience I didnt want a big fuss.....which it would have been at home, the nerves would have killed me! I too have the Bamboo room, the air conditioning swung it for me even if it is big.....slightly worried it's too big! Just been trying on wedding dresses today & it turns out I've not a clue! You must be so happy having your plans in place, I'm nervous just picking a dress....I'm a nightmare! Ha ha ha Good luck!! :)

My fiancé and I have been engaged for nearly 7 years so for us it was just about a nice trip together! Air conditioning is why I chose the bamboo room too, however it's not going to be as hot I hope in November!

 

Also, I bought a dress 3 years ago. And just switched it up recently :)

Hey ladies!! I just got the spa price list and just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the prices have gone up from what this thread says. An up do for short hair is $65 and long hair is $75 and make up application is $65. Might help with budgeting and what not!

 

And my uncle, who is a minister and going to be marrying us just sent us the first draft of our ceremony....whoa! I think I need to read it a few times so I'm not crying like a baby on the big day!! And we just picked up our marriage license yesterday! Things are really coming together now!!

I am new to this site but so far found it to be very helpful. I am getting married in June at the Now Jade and was wondering any ones thoughts on an off site photographer and if so if you had any recommendations. i am sure the resort charges a fee for them to come on the property as well but didnt see it listed yet.

@Jody1227  Ive just had the price confirmed for off site photographer has gone up to $150 per photographer. 

Im just in the process of organising mine, decided it wasnt worth the risk of leaving it to the resort when nobody seems to have any good reviews, or none recently!

Anyway, I read that its often good to have a list of photos you want your photographer do, has anyone done this or have they just left it to the experts?  Ive no idea where to start!

Other wise I'm not making a list. I don't feel like I have any photos if him and I that I MUST have. My photographers work is amazing. So I trust his judgement...

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
