Oh that's a good idea, I wonder if I can just upgrade my photography for a couple more hours as Im not doing a trash the dress.  Thanks I'll check that out!  I had hoped I might be able to trade out the video for extra photography but that looks unlikely as trading doesnt seem to work these days!  Thanks for the info re the flowers, I was rather hoping these were included in the Devine, damn!  Feeling a bit hard done by as we've paid for 25 people in the package but will only have 12 including us.

@@leggi, the trash the dress thing was new to me too, but it seemed like such a unique experience to add since we were getting married in mexico.  anyways - not trying to convince you to do it, but just wanted to let you know that from what I've read it really doesn't trash the dress.  Alot of people say it actually cleans it because it gets dirty from walking around and dancing during the reception.  they say if you hang it to dry afterwards and then get it professional cleaned the dress is fine.  my mom was initially freaked out i was going to do it, but when she read that she was more ok with it.

Thanks for the info!  I just dont know if I can bring myself to do it, Im still shopping for it so maybe that's why....maybe once Ive had it a while I'll change my mind!

Haha it seems that way! the brides in the past sure lucked out !

Has anyone brought their own ipod speakers to use at the pergola for the ceremony or bamboo room for reception? Not sure if the sound would carry well or not...

I just purchased a BOSE Sound Link MINI to bring to Mexico for our reception. It cost $199.99 but I had amazon gift cards and stuff so I only paid $100. My wedding is in 26 days, pergola and bamboo room! The speaker is super tiny and LOUD. Beats paying 800$ for a resort speaker!

Great idea to bring your own speaker... never even thought of that. I have the big jambox and it works great. But might look for something even bigger and better, then in the end we get to keep it too so it would be worth the investment.

As far as the trash the dress session... I am actually getting a second dress... a fun beachy one that would look great in and out of the water (something cheap or on sale that doesn't need altered). We are having an at home reception so I definitely don't want to trash my real dress.

I'm under the impression that the included package only includes the ceremony and pictures on the beach afterwards. Approx. 1 hour and only 24 photos.

I also have the Divine package and do not think this is enough. I can't justify spending $3000 for an outside photographer either so I have added on the Number 2 package (3 hours of photography) for about $1000 to my package, this will include getting ready, ceremony, pictures on beach, and cocktail hour. Then I'm using my included package in the divine for a trash the dress session.

GONZALO NUNEZ. He is AMAZING! And for the quality of his work, he's so Cheap!! Well worth it. It's your wedding, you want your pics to be perfect. I couldn't chance the resort Photographer, who has "bad days".

WOW his work is amazing!  Like everyone else asked, do you have his prices? (I don't get this whole 'not listing it on the website' thing that most photographers seem to do...)

You should contact him for his prices. Photographers don't post it online as a way to keep their prices low and not worry about competition, at least that's what I was told when I was asked specifically by many photographers I contacted not to share or post their pricing.

Do you have his pricing? I couldn't' find it on his website.

We have a bose speaker too but wasn't sure if the bamboo room would make it sound rubbish

I'd be really interested in Gonzalo Nunez too if you don't min sharing or PM?

Just shoot him an email, info@@gonzaloNunez.com he will send you a price and work something out. I promise he's worth it, and half the price of the other vendors in Riviera Maya.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
