Hi Anne Marie,

I am super looking forward to the cocktail party. For me on this one I wanted to have little details like (from my packing list)

Signature Drink Menus

Paper Straws

Stir Sticks with Silver Washi Tape Flags

Personalized Cocktail Napkins

Tall Skinny Candle Holders for the tables (wind won't blow out) our Cocktail Party is 6:00pm and it will be dark by then so I wanted a little lighting.

"cheers" signage

Guitarist for Cocktail Hour

Lastly I saw on Etsy these little cut out 2" glittery confetti for lack of a better term to go on the tables the sunset/candle reflection would give a little glow.

Wow Im super impressed how organised you all are.  You have fine details I havent even considered, I'll need to take a leaf out of your books!  Does anyone have copies of all the dinner menus (I have examples from the wedding guide but not sure if that's the only choices available) they could private message me, I can see they're posted as attachments but I cant open being a newbie?  Also do you only get to choose one option for each course?  Ive decided to opt for the Divine Package.

Are you able to send me a copy of the planning form that was sent to you?

Brit, i see your wedding is for 2015 - they must have changed it for 2015, mine is still for 2014 so that would make sense!

By the time we reach 2020, i am sure nothing will be included haha

Has anyone brought their own ipod speakers to use at the pergola for the ceremony or bamboo room for reception? Not sure if the sound would carry well or not...

Hi

I also wondered about the ipod and using my own speakers in the Bamboo room as we just have a small wedding party and cant see everyone getting up to dance though I would still like to have the tradition of a first dance.

Also does anyone know if the resort photograhers are any good or have any pictures that they wouldnt mind sharing with me?  Ive read a few decent things a while back on the forum but that specific photographer has since left.  Im a bit nervous as to the quality of the photos after reading some other comments.  Hoping someone can help!

I debated bringing my own speakers instead as well. But I believe we'll be by the pool and the first dance is important to me so I decided to rent the sound system, even though it's outrageously priced.

We also hired an outside Photographer. I was not willing to risk bad photographs. We'll be using the resort photographer for a trash the dress session.

@@leggi when is your wedding?

My wedding is on 26th May 15 so still lots of time to decide. I'm working on a few quotes from an outside photographer so will see how it goes, so expensive!! I'm getting lots if answers here but it creates more questions!! Ha ha ha Dress picking is the next thing on the agenda!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
