OFFICIAL NOW Jade Wedding Thread

Recommended Posts

For anyone that has had an outside hair and make-up team come to the hotel, is that also subject to the vendor fee?  I've seen people mention the vendor fee applying to an outside DJ, band, and florist, but i haven't seen any mention of the vendor fee on hair/make-up.  I'm assuming it does, but just wanted to double check. Thanks!

Jackie i am also wondering this! I have not heard anything good about the report spa make up which concerns me so i am also looking at hiring an outside make up artist. Let me know if you find out and i shall do the same!

Ok, 6 months out and working on the budget. I have a few questions.

We have the divine package.

1. Is the speaker system included for the ceremony or is that extra. ( I know it's extra for reception)

2. Is the gazebo for the pergola ceremony decorated and included (the drapes and flowers on poles?)

3. Are the white linens included for the bamboo room reception.

4. Anyone else finding this difficult to plan/ budget for :)

Pilar told me the sound system is $150 per hour + 16% tax. It is not included in Devine package for ceremony. Still have to pay the $150 even if using for only walking down the isle. You are able to use the guitarist or saxophonist at cocktail hour or reception if you plan to have sound system at ceremony!

The white fabric is included in te Devine package for the pergola. I have a picture pilar sent me, not sure how to attach it on here. I've read before the flowers for the poles are an extra $150 not sure if that is each or per bundle.

White linen and chair covers are included in Devine package. Bows are an extra $5 each plus tax and they charge you $40 to switch the bows from the ceremony to reception chairs

Hope that helps!!

I was married at now jade on may 16th, just about 3 months ago :)

I had 44 people and had the divine package. The speaker system is included, the pergola had the white drapes and two floral arrangements on each pole. I had my reception on the terrace and the white linens are included. I brought my own table runners and chair bows and just had to pay the 40$ set up fee, instead of paying $5 each bow!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
