Hi guys!

I've read a lot of people saying they're bringing or had brought bows for the chairs.  Do they still charge you to set those up or no? Or do you have to do them yourselves?

when we had our wedding it was at no charge, i am not sure about now though

Hi guys!

I was married may 16th and i brought my own chair bows. They charge a $40 "set up" fee. Its still cheaper though then buying the bows from the resort.

Anyone have orange-grey colors or starfish theme looking to sell any decorations? Or have pictures of how they set up the space?

What are people with large groups doing about dinner? We have about 80 people. Is everyone just paying the outrageous ~$75 more per person over 25 or are there other alternatives?

Can people provide their schedule of the days activities?

I'm looking for a party boat excursion that holds at least 50 people? Did past brides have a suggestion? I do not want to have to go all the way to Cancun and that is all I can find at this time.

Did anyone have the free welcome cocktail party and have over 25 people? Did you pay for the extra people or just have them show up since it's just held in a sectioned off part of the lobby?

Hi Guys! i have been MIA since I sent out my Save the Dates last November! I am planning to wed at Now Jade in July 2015. I know the resort has gotten a lot more strict with their polices in terms of pricing. I am looking at about 100 guests  :o So the FI has let me increase the budget after he saw the pricing! Does anyone know if the resort will automatically charge you over 25 for the extras (extra cake, extra Hors D'oeuvres, champagne) I am trying to create my budget now!

Does anyone have a copy of their final prist list breakdown?

i'm trying to decide if brining my own linens and centerpieces is even worth it or just using the resorts.

After reading a lot of the reviews it doesn't sound like the extra Hors D'oeuvres and champagne is necessary. We are expecting about 80 and we are not adding any. If anything you could go into town and get bottles of champagne for cheap so everyone has some for a toast. We are doing a buffet dinner and dessert options are included and I know from experience people tend to not eat the cake, so I am also not adding cake. Pilar sent me a wedding contract that shows the pricing and extras and was really useful for budgeting.  All the extras don't include the 16% service charge and for food there is an additional 15% service charge. So don't forget to budget that!

Thank you for your response! I was thinking of only ordering a couple more Hors D'oeuvres because there will be so many gifts. My family and friends will be fine without champagne as they are tequila drinkers! I did read that after 50 you can have a buffet. May I ask why you chose that option? When can I get the wedding contract to see the prices?

The 16% service charge is added on total bill except food? Sorry for all the questions but I am feeling overwhelmed! lol I want to pay this wedding cash so I am trying to budget how much I will need to save every month. Thank you!

I thought it was required to have a buffet after 50 people, which was fine with us because we would prefer a buffet. But I am not positive. You can ask for the contract now. I was asking Pilar and Isela about prices and they sent me the contract that lists the prices and extras and what is included in your package. So I just fill in the extras and things that I know we want and it gives you a much better idea of what the total price will be. Every service/extra also has added 16% tax charge. And for example dinner charge over 25 ppl for the divine package is $53 plus $8.48(tax) plus $7.95 (service), so it really is $69.43 extra per person for dinner. I totally understand! We are getting married Nov. 7th and I am trying to make sure we have thought of everything! Let me know if this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
