Has anyone with a large group done a dinner for just their wedding party and parents? We have over 80 guests and a wedding party/parents group of about 30. We want to do the Devine package, but have our guests go to cocktail hour and dinner on their own, then meet us at the reception room for dancing. Not sure if this would work well, but the cost to have everyone go to the dinner is over $4000... which seems crazy for an all-inclusive. We would rather spend that money on a party boat or something.

Does anyone know if there is an additional price per person over 25 guests for the ceremony chair setup? And if so how much?

 

We had 39 adults and didn't have to pay anything extra for set up (except a $40 fee for chair bows). That's a big group though!

 

Your idea of dinner on their own sounds reasonable to me! Then you have more time for dancing/partying anyways!

So we've come to the conclusion that the resort photographer isn't going to work out. I don't want to chance him having a bad day on OUR day, and looking back on past brides, I'm scared! I've contacted Gonzalo Nunez, and we're pretty excited bc his portfolio is amazing! Any thoughts ladies??

 Im getting married in may and I have gonzalo nunez booked for my wedding day and trash the dress! He seems awesome and i cant wait to work with him!!

Instrumentalist questions:

 

Did anyone use one for their ceremony or the cocktail hour? I'm not sure which one to choose (pro's/con's?) I'm thinking guitarist for the ceremony, but I'm not sure.

 

Which instrument did you find better?

 

Can they play specific songs, or do they have a set list to choose from? How does that work?

 Im getting married in may and i will use one of the musicians for the ceremony. I think i want the violinst or possibly the sax. I think it would sound pretty awesome! Im going to contact pilar and ask if they have like a clip or something of the musicians playing so ican hear which i like better. When i did a site visit last may i met with pilar and she said they can play specific songs you may want. She mentioned the beatles but im not sure what else they can do.

His work is amazing! I've read plenty of great reviews on him, so I'm not worried! I need to put together a portfolio of pictures I want taken, I think it's best to give him an idea of what we want captured!

omg that was lovely! Limelite studios is someone you hired?  Where are they located? If you have the divine package, did they offer a videographer? 

Ok i hope someone can help me! I know im not going crazy and i could of sworn ive seen a "stuffed chicken" entree as an option at now jade. I cant seem to find it now! I want to give it as one of our options for dinner and would like to put the description but can not find it anywhere. Does anyone know ?

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
