Hello Brides :)

 

We are getting married at the Now Jade May 3rd, 2014. We are so excited, and were very fortunate to be able to visit the resort in person, while we were vacationing at another resort last april. It is beautiful, the drinks and food at Castaways were excellent. . I have been emailing back and forth with Ariadna, she is so helpful and sometimes responds within the hour, but never takes longer than 24hrs. Pilar was taking about a month or so to get back to me and recently she wasn't responding at all. However I heard she may be close to going on maternity leave...

 

Like most of you I was inquiring about "swapping" items in  my package. I am not using the photography, flowers or airport transfer(which is just one way in the divine package, our travel agent is providing a private round trip for us). Ariadna said that I was not able to swap or be credited for any items in my package. I did mention I had seen a lot of brides on here being accommodated with Pilar, she said that was the case, but that about 3 months ago they decided to no longer allow swapping or credits :( She also recommended changing my package, but we're keeping the Divine, a la carte was so expensive! So now I will use the photo for the welcome reception, and because I am not taking the flowers for myself, groom and bridal party she is going to let me have another centerpiece for the reception table, which is great because I don't think we will need more than two tables. She did answer a ton of more questions for me, so if you can think of anything ask away and Ill do my best to help!

Hi! I spoke with Ariadna about spa/resort dj

 

We are getting married 5/3/14 we have 5 people doing hair and make up, with the photog coming at 3. She booked an appointment for us for 1130am that morning as there are multiple people to do hair/makeup.

 

DJ charges $250/hr plus tax. She said that we could just book the resort dj when we arrived or about 48hrs in advance.

I have getting married on February 8th, 2014 and have chosen the Devine package.  We are addition the resort photographer for the complete wedding package that includes the trash the dress shoot and the entire day of the wedding. Does anyone know how much extra that package will cost? Thanks!

Also- Anyone else getting married around February 8th?

Instrumentalist questions:

 

Did anyone use one for their ceremony or the cocktail hour? I'm not sure which one to choose (pro's/con's?) I'm thinking guitarist for the ceremony, but I'm not sure.

 

Which instrument did you find better?

 

Can they play specific songs, or do they have a set list to choose from? How does that work?

I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
