The flowers on the pergola are included. You also get to choose one centrepiece as part of the package

Yes, whatever the price is I believe it is per chair.

So... If i was getting married at the fountain... is it safe to assume that i would get the canopy at no extra cost and that would include a centerpiece and flowers for the canopy?

Has anyone used bookit.com for their wedding? The prices are so much lower it seems unreal. For November 2014 it's like 800/pp on bookit.com and $1300 through apple vacations. Any idea if destinationweddings.com prices matches with online sites?

I used bookit for my wedding.  About 2/3 of the guests booked through Bookit.  It was easy and quite a bit cheaper.

A bit of advice/tips:

1) Make sure you have selected the flights that are best for you - allow enough time for layovers if not flying direct.  Different flight options cost different amounts.

2) If booking children under 2 - do not include them in your reservation as it will not process.  After booking call the airline directly to add a child under 2 to your reservation.  This may cost extra (for my nephew it was approximately $150 with Air Canada)

3) The reps at the call center are hit-or-miss.  Some of their reps are amazing, some not so much.

4) You don't have to pay all at once!!!  You can split your balance into 3rds.  The airfare is due upfront, but the resort cost can be paid off in intervals.

5) Round trip transfers are not included with bookit, but I think they are with Apple.  My family used USA transfers at the Cancun airport and they were great.  They booked ahead and saved a lot (on bookit it's 45$ per person - that's a lot!

Any questions, just ask!

We are getting married on May 6th! Originally we were on May 7th at Dreams Cancun, but they are shutting down for renovations a few weeks before then because they're being sold.... soooo long story short we had to find another location and start the planning over again. We chose the Now Jade!

PAST BRIDES....

What did people do that had a large number of guests coming? The costs for extra people over 25 is crazy!

$70 per person for dinner

$7 per person for cake

$5 per person for Champaign toast

$20 per person for cocktail hour

That's over $100 extra you have to pay per person.

What other ideas did people do if you had between 50-75 guests?

Can you not purchase multiple packages?? For example use 2 or 3 Devine/Eternity packages?

One idea might be to cut down on the cocktail hour. For example, some brides have only opted to go with the cocktail food provided in the package (e.g. 25 people). Most people never eat up the amount of food allocated per person in the cocktail hour, so you could likely get away with providing a little less. I'm not sure if the NJ still allows you to do the above, but this might be one option (just make sure you don't go too bare bones and run out of food). You could also consider only having the champagne toast for you and the groom, and subbing in something cheaper for the guests. Lots of wedding experts suggest this as a way to cut down on costs:

Last, I've also read that you don't need to buy a cake that covers every single guest. See the link below for some ways to save:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
