I just happened to see this comment and went over to read trip advisor. I haven't read it in a while! Those few one star reviews are an absolute joke! It was quite comical to actually read them. I truly believe some people are crazy. One of them were complaining of their Ocean View room. They said they had to look to the left of their balcony to see the ocean! Well folks, that's what ocean VIEW means! It means you will have a VIEW of the ocean, just a view. They did not pay for ocean FRONT, there's a difference. Oh, and they found an egg shell in their eggs! The people making their eggs are humans and that happens, could happen at ANY resort/restaurant. And this:

"WE were left in the lobby for 5 minutes and were follwed by a bus full of people"

What does this mean? They were left for FIVE minutes? Five minutes? Wow, that's not a long time. Oh, and they were followed by a bus load of people?? So what??!!! Some people you just cannot please! I don't understand how that is a complaint!  I could go on and on about that review. It's a freaking joke.

And now, the review about the balconies caving in and numerous complaints of flooding in rooms within the same review, whatever! They are saying that not only ONE but TWO different balconies caved in! "The bride and grooms balcony roof fell into their jacuzzi" "Another couple that came for the wedding had the roof collapse inside their room,"

We had 60 guest at the resort for our wedding back in June and nobody had any of these types of problems.

What i find most comical about this review and the reason I do not believe anything they say is because of these sentences:

"One of the nights there was the typical wedding going on until the bride blacked out cuz the staff sold her ecstasy."

Okay, even IF this DID happen, that's not the resorts fault that the bride was dumb enough to buy ecstasy!

"I don't entirely blame the coordinator as they have two weddings a day and only one coordinator and she doesn't even have an assistant."

I know this is a complete lie, most of us girls here on these boards know there are at least 3 wedding coordinators.

"They are giant rats and ants. Lizards all around the rooms. Giant spiders"

Yeah, okay, there are giant RATS roaming around the place, yeah right. And for the lizards, spiders, bugs etc, it's the tropics, there is this problem everywhere!

Sorry for my rant. We're slow at work this and I had some free time to read these and laugh!

Good luck to all future brides. Don't stress about anything! Your wedding day will be absolutely perfect!

Thanks! This is exactly what I needed to see this morning :)

16 days until we leave!

I think some peoples standards are simply unrealistic. While of course filth is unacceptable, as previously mentioned, waiting 5 minutes is not a vacationed ruined. However, like all of you I must maintain a positive outlook because it is too late now! I'm sure everything will be fine!

Hi, I'm posting this review as a Maid of Honor in my best friends wedding that was just on November 22nd. Overall, the trip was amazing, but here's some things I'd like to share from my experiance: Check-In was a breeze. Within minutes of our arrival, we were taken to our oceanfront room. We had thought we were getting a king sized bed, but our room had two double beds. No big deal, we had the beds pushed together and you couldn't even tell. We didn't want to switch rooms, because the view was amazing. However, our room was infested with ants. At first I thought it was normal, seeing them in the bathroom in the sink but as the days went on, they were everywhere. In the tub, tons of them in the sink, in our suitcase. My best friend, the bride, had left a suitcase at the airport. The resort was very helpful and communicated with the airport and it was eventually delivered via taxi ($50) the next day. We had gotten our hair and makeup done at the spa and I absolutely HATED it. I believe the womans name was Gina who did it. We chose a hairstyle for the birdesmaids from the book in the spa and everyone's hair was perfect, except for mine. We also chose a natural makeup look and she put on pink/purple/black eye shadow that made me look like a clown, no joke. It was a disaster. When I told her I didn't like my make-up, she just put more make-up over top of what I had. It was terrible. Needless to say, I had to have my hair re-done and my make-up done all over by two seperate people. It was a bad experiance that turned out nice. I loved my hair and make-up after it was done by the other two women. By the way hair and make-up is $126 total, not $100 that we were quoted. The bride's make-up turned out gorgeous. The wedding turned out beautiful. Everything was perfect as far as I could tell, but the Bride would have to talk about all the small details. Other than that, everyone is very nice at the resort, the food is decent, and I would probably go back. The ocean has huge boulders in it and is really rocky, so beware. I got really messed up in the ocean, lol. Hope this helps :)

Does anyone have the website link to the resort videographer?  Or can anyone share their videos here?  I'm a little nervous about the quality of the video and would like to see some work from the resort videographer.

Seriously, what's up with all the reviews about Now Jade hiding the bacon at the buffet? Is there a bacon shortage in Mexico or something? Why's it so difficult to get bacon for breakfast?!
It is true about the bacon im afraid.....didnt bother any1 in our group but we did witness it happen, saying that everytime my husband went up they went out the back and came back with a full plate for him and not because he tipped because he didnt ☺ I dont get it though xxxx

In the Devine package it says that 2 bridesmaid CORSAGES are included. Was anyone successful at getting either a flower credit for bridesmaid bouquets instead or the corsage turned into something else (ie: single flowers or boutenieres) I've asked Pilar if I could get 2 extra boutenieres instead of the 2 corsages and haven't heard back from her yet.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
