Thanks!!

I don't think we're going to use the DJ, but we're not having that many people, only about 20, so it seemed like an extra unnecessary expense for so little people.  I really want to hire an outside photography, however, my fiance is in a little bit of sticker shock with how much a photographer costs, soooo...I need to do a little more convincing on that :S

Also, we're only going with the eternity package because there was not as much that we wouldn't use and I had heard of some brides having bad luck swapping stuff and ended up with a lot of things they didn't need or want.  We might change this as the planning gets closer, but I haven't actually even spoken with Pilar yet!

How about you?

Right now we are still trying to figure out alot of the details, including DJ and photography. I know for sure I am not going to use the resort photographer - all of the work i have seen (in my opinion) i could probably take better pictures myself. When its all said and done, that is all you have to look back on and I want to look back at some amazingly beautiful pictures - try that one with the hubs ;)

We are going with the Divine package at this point, but like you said, there are things that I know I am not going to use in the package, like the photographer. No luck so far trying to swap anything, but I did pull all the items i DO want from the package and did get a quote and the quote was actually almost double the $2999 package price. So even if we won't use certain things, its still cheaper to go with the package! We will have about 50 people coming. We are also 25 year olds who like to dance so a DJ is a MUST have for us!

Happy Planning!

I think we're just going to ge the sound system and play an Ipod. There might be some dancing, but not 1000 worth! haha...

We're having a reception back home, so maybe we'll have more party there!

Does anyone know which locations for ceremony and/or reception are handicap accessible? I have not been able to get this answer from anyone at the resort after sending emails a couple times over the last 3 weeks.....The handicap accessibility is our only concern
HI there, Congtatulations and I hope you have a wonderful day. I got married 5 weeks ago and it was beautiful. Please do not worry about anything the wc are amazing, they know what they are doing. In regards ro you question the only place I think you would have trouble is if your guest wa in a wheel chair and you were going on the beach. Everywhere else has a pathway as well as stair access. Hope all goes well and if you need anymore help please so ask. Natasha

HOT!! It was HOT! Everyone was constantly hot but it's Mexico so we all expected that. Wouldn't stop me going back in June again, but expect it to be hot.
My wedding is June 12, 2015. I liked the terrace but am worried about the heat in June. However, I hate the traditional "hall" feeling. Was the bamboo room a good choice looking back on it? Or do you think the terrace would have been good? Thanks

Bamboo Room is the best option in my opinion. That's the only thing I would have changed if I could do it over again. Your ceremony & cocktail hour will prob be outdoors. It's a nice break for you and your guest to have an A/C reception indoors, especially in a June. When I saw the Bamboo Room I thought it was great.

I'm fairly laid-back and I have a flexible view of my wedding day so I don't have any really specific things to worry about, however, did anyone have any surprises once they got down there or in the planning process?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
