My goal is to only include bridesmaid boquets and thats it. I have selected the divine package and have already paid the $500 deposit and would like to stay under $3000 total is that doable? But mainly is there tax on top of everything or is the tax included in the prices they give you?

Did you receive your final invoice yet from the resort?  That will show the cost break down, including tax on each item and any service fees.  The prices listed in their wedding book and on their website do not include taxes.  It notes them though in the fine print.

Any anyone clarify the $300 limit on "gifts" that can be brought into Mexico?  I have read that each person is limited to $300 of gifts that can be brought in before you are taxed differently or something.  If we are under $300 per person, do we still need to declare these items and are we taxed on them then?

How many guests did you have?

We arrived back in the UK yesterday ;-( so cold and want to be back at now jade. We had the most amazing day and wish we could do it all over again it seemed to have all gone so fast. I will over the next few days put a full review together of the whole experience from start to finish. There was a few little negative things but I can assure you I would not have changed it for the world. Our day was better than I could ever of imagined. For all you brides to be.......easier said than done but you do not need to panic wether you have Pilar. Isela or Adriana your day will be perfect they all know what they are doing. Xxxxx
Congratulations newlywed! How many guest did you have? We are doing the divine package and I'm starting to get nervous that we will have more than 25 ppl. Any idea on the cost of additional guests? Thanks

Just wondering from those who had a large wedding here approx how much did you pay for going over guest count. we are estimated right now between 50-69 guests it seems to go up every day! Also for the reception for a large party like this; do they use a bunch of round tables or one long table?
Did you get an answer to this question? I'm wondering the same thing. I thought we would have a very small group but now I'm worried we will have lots more than 25

I have been working with Isela and we asked for it early so that there were not any surprises with the costs.  It also helps serve as writen documentation of what you want/are expecting.  It took a few emails back and forth to get it just right but it came together nicely and now I know exactly what to expect.  I thought this was normally sent after you submit you final details 45 days prior.

This is from a previous post regarding the extra costs if you go over 25 people:

"Our wedding is in June and we are estimating about $100/per person above the 25 guests. That would include dinner, drinks, cocktail hour, cake, Champagne toast, and chair. That's a rough estimate!"

I thought I heard it was between $80-$100 per extra person depending on a few variables.

Beautiful wedding!! Who was your photographer?
All the shots that I posted were family and friend shots. We used the on site photographer with the Divine package so it covered the ceremony only. If I am completely honest he wasn't any better than My friends or family, wasn't very versatile and didn't really have much of a clue. You get 26 with the package and we had no problems reducing it from 269 to 31 because they were pretty rubbish, saying that he gave us the extra 5 but would only out them on the disk and not in the book for a tip! We did manage to pick the best 31 but to say I was disappointed is an under statement, we just wasn't in a position financially to get a outside photographer. I will upload some of the ones he took so you can have a look Xxx

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
