If you have the Divine package, the sound system for the ceremony is included.  You can move your musician to the cocktail hour without needing to pay extra for your music to be played at your ceremony.  At least this was how it worked for our wedding in June.  Not sure about how this works with any other package.  We had the guitar player for the cocktail hour and it was really nice--he was able to play for much more than we would have used him at the ceremony and it made for a nice ambiance.

This was the impression i had as well (sound system included). We're contemplating using the musician for our cocktail hour as well.

Hi,

Can anyone explain how the divine menu works, do we have to pick one menu and EVERYbody has to have this.

Can any past brides recommend what options are best?

i do have a couple of vegetarians I can only assume they take this into consideration?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi!

I chose two of the main options (chicken or Beef Fillet & Shrimp) then I chose a salad and a cream option and swapped the dessert for two extra appetizers for cocktail hour. I am a vegetarian and was told I can have a pasta dish instead of the beef or chicken.

Hope this helps!

I will see you there!! :)

Hi Everyone-

My Fiance and I are getting married at Now Jade July 11th, 2014. I look forward to reading the forum to help us plan the wedding! One question I have is, does anyone know if is possible to upgrade the videography with the Divine Package? I noticed you can upgrade the photography instead of paying the full package and was hoping there might also be this option for the videography.

Thanks!

Marta

Are you using a DJ for the reception. I booked AVI for the night from 7-11pm. I was wondering if you did as well? If yes, I hope they have two DJ's lol

lol. no due to budget we are just hiring the sound system to play our own music.  We have a DJ here in the UK who has kindly put over 2000 songs on our ipod for us.

My reception finishes at 10pm so i might gate crash yours for the last hour LOL (dont panic I am joking)

So in terms of your menu did you just ask your guests if they wanted beef or chicken for their main and then you chose 1 x Salad, 1 x cream option for everyone?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
