ETA: Are you having the resort provide the snacks, or getting them from offsite?  Also, does anyone know if the NJ still offers a s'mores party? If so, what is the current cost?

Any one have any luck getting a hold of them or what to say?

I have literally 100000 questions about the private terrace, bridal and bridesmaids bouquets, make up, hair trial, hair appt day of, negotiating things in the package, etc.

It stinks not getting anything answered or addressed in a timely manner!

When do you get married Hun?

I have had no contact at all apart from one email to confirm all my contact details......I get married in 10 weeks.

I have NO idea where I am having a reception! completely NO idea how much everything is going to cost.

I guess I will just have to wait until I am there and hope for the best :-(

Since we're supposed to know what everyone's dinner choice will be prior to the wedding, how is everyone doing this? I'm assuming just putting the dinner options on the RSVP card and having the guests check off which they want? Also, does anyone have the dinner options available so I can see? On a separate note, for brides that are doing OOT bags, where did you get the totes from and what type of things did you include? Also where did you purchase the contents from?

Just an FYI... I requested chips and salsa for our 60 guest hoping they would just throw that in... (I read some where on here that one bride was lucky enough!) But when we got our final budget, they tried to charge us $650 for chips and salsa! We took that off real quick! We just had everyone meet in the lobby bar at 8:30 so most folks ate dinner prior to coming. Maybe one of you girls will be lucky enough to get the snacks thrown in for free! :-) We were not so lucky!

Oh heck no!  Did you have to pay for drinks too? (I might have to stop off at the local costco! LOL LOL)

No, you don't have to pay for drinks. There is a bar right there where your guest can grab a drink if needed. Honestly, not sure of a trip to Costco would be necessary. Just make it known to your guest to eat before or after. There's plenty of food around the resort so nobody would go hungry!

Who do a catamaran excursion for their guests or wedding party? We would like to do this as a thank you to everyone for coming. One that includes drinks and food. Please let me know who you have used and how much it was. Thanks!

For the guest OOT bag- I ordered a sample canvas tote bag from Vista Print and it was good quality and you can have any sort of design or image printed on the front. It was also really inexpensive!  I bought several groupon deals for vistaprint where I paid $30 for $70 worth of product and they were also having an online sale so I was able to order each bag for less than $5.  I think they normally run around $15-18 per bag.

I am looking to order plastic tumbler type cups for guests to be able to refill drinks/ etc in their own glass (and be able to have larger drinks!).  Has anyone bought these for their OOT bags? If so... where did you find them?  I was hoping to be able to have each one personalized if possible.

I was wondering if the bags on VistaPrint were of good quality. I'm either going to use those or just get brown Kraft bags and large oval label stickers for the sides. Have you tried Dollar Tree for your tumblers? Another bride on here said she raided her local stores for about 40 I think. There is also a website called Discount Mugs or something like that for tumblers too. Hope that helps!

Yea, I am currently using the sample bag I ordered as a gym bag and it has held up nicely!  I will definitely try the dollar store for the tumblers. Not quite sure how I will get them down but I'm sure we will figure it out!

Did most people bring their own linens and chair ties? I've read some reviews that stated people brought their own and it was less expensive- where are they buying them from?

Where did people buy the hanging ball type lights that others have hung from the ceiling in the bamboo room? Did they have actual lights in them or does the ceiling lights light them up?

So many things to start thinking about...!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
