It's me again. So I was looking over the different packages and we were thinking of going with the Devine package and substituting the things we don't want or need. Based on reviews I saw a lot of brides do this and it didn't seem to be a problem, however I know things can change. My question is for those who have used the Devine Package it says it comes with a silver menu cocktail hour and dinner reception AND a platinum menu cocktail hour and dinner reception. Is this correct? This is really important to me because I really want to do a welcome party for my guest and was planning on using the cocktail hour/reception for the welcome party. Can any of you wonderful ladies who have had your weddings here already or planning to answer this question.

Many thanks!

Brenda

Hi Kaiden1215,

I am getting married Sept. 2013 and using the Divine package.  You will get one reception and one cocktail hour for up to 25 guests.  With the Divine, you have the option to choose from either the silver or platinum menus, but it does not come with two cocktail hours.  I believe you do have the option of using your cocktail hour as a 'welcome party'. Does this help?

Congrats... quote name="Kaiden1215" url="/t/78683/official-now-jade-wedding-thread/3000#post_1927951"]I'm going to be a Now Jade bride also and I am soooo excited! My husband and I are actually already married but we didn't do a wedding and NO FAMILY was there when we eloped at the courthouse. He promised me that on our 5 year anniversary we would have my dream wedding so that day will be here in 20 short months. (LOL!!! it's not really short but it sounds better in my mind). I am in the beginning pages of the planning as our date is going to be April 25,  2015 which is the exact date we married in 2010. I have really enjoyed reading this forum and going hearing about everyone's plans and journey. The reviews have been short of amazing at answering questions that I would otherwise be waiting forever to get answered. Since I have such quite a while before my big day I will continue to enjoy everyone's experience and post about my planning until my big day comes.

Ok so I need some advice ladies.. Im getting married may 2014 and I've sent out save the dates almost 3 months ago. I know it's still soon but ehen is a good time to send out invitations? I don't want to seem pushy or crazy doing this so early but I wish I could just get a better idea of how many guests we will have. I plan on making oot bags and would love to get a start on things sooner then later but really can't until I have a better idea of how many ppl will attend... Any suggestions??

Has anyone had a hard time waiting to hear back from Pilar after sending your confirmation information and credit card for a deposit to save your date. I emailed her almost a month ago and haven't heard anything. Nothing has been taken off my credit card yet. I emailed again a few days ago asking her if she needed more information or if there was something wrong, and nothing. Is this normal?

I think they recommend sending your invitations out about 4 months in advance. Our wedding is in December, we're going to mail ours out mid to end of August, and ask for a response date by the beginning of October. We also recognize people may also book last-minute (i.e. in October and November, after we've asked for our RSVPs back).

We are getting married in November , I think we sent our invites out in march, and asked for an RSVP toward the end of August. We wanted to give people enough time to save if need be and a good RSVP time for us so we know ahead if time if we will have to pay extra and to get any other details squared away!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
