Hello Everyone

I just had a question for anyone getting married at the Jade and using the Your Moments package.  We are having a very small wedding but we were wanting to reserve a place to have dinner that night, how much does it cost to reserve a place?  I also was wanting to get my hair done and I was wondering how much that cost?

Thanks

Congratulations! Your wedding is getting very close!

I have the spa guide from January - it shows "Hair Styling for Brides" as costing $59 (75 mins)

Are you looking to make a group reservation at a restaurant for dinner? If so, I believe it's $22/person. I know you can reserve areas for private receptions for $500, but not sure if there would be any extra costs added on to that because there's no reception included in the Your Moments wedding package.

Do you know if you have to pick a certain menu for the dinner or if people can order what they want?

Julestwin, this is the info I recieved off Pilar as we also have the moments package and are currently looking at having our reception at one of the restaurants (depending on budgets we may ask if we can pay the $500 to have this on the terrace to make it a little more private.

As you will see there are 2 restaurant options to have your reception, however you will be able to choose from 4 the menu's from the following restaurants

spice

capers

mercure

tamarindo

I do have copies of the menus so i will try and upload them, alternatively send me your email and I will email them to you, I also have the spa prices for hair and make up that Olivia sent me a couple of months ago, I could pop this on email too.

Hope this helps ................

Regarding the  reception dinner at the restaurant please note:

  • For any of the restaurants more than 10 people will be considered as a group.
  • If any guest is interested in organizing a dinner in one of the restaurants for a group (over 10 people), a set up and service fee will apply, the price for this special service will be $22.00 USD per person.
  • It will be necessary to select a set menu for all guests attending the dinner; the menu will be selected by the clients from the regular menu of the restaurant. This $22.00 USD charge does not guarantee that the restaurant will be closed exclusively for the group.
  • Any dinner at the restaurants is allowed for maximum 35 guests and it should be 2 hours long. (ex.6:00 pm to 8:00 pm)
  • The only restaurant where the group can have a dinner all together without extra cost would be Carnival Restaurant with buffet style (it is not private buffet it would be of the regular buffet line).
  • All the outdoor events are allowed until 10:30 pm.
  • Music and Dancing are only allowed for private events (Beach , Pool Terrace, Ocean Front deck) or at the Ballroom, not at the restaurants

Notes:

The dinner reception, it must to be a set menu, 1 salad, 1 soup, 1 main course and 1 dessert, they guests do not have a choice on the dinner menu, during the dinner; sometimes we do exceptions, and we allow to bride ask to their guests choice only the main course (and only for 2 choices) a head of time you need to let us know how many people will eat one option and how many people will eat the other option, and please be advice that the hotel is not responsible if your guests change their mind during dinner and want other option as their main course since we are not able to change by that time

Hi Sarah,

Great info! Can you please attach the menus for the various restaurants as I would love to see them. If you are unable to attach them, can you email them to me?

Thanks,

Trisha

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
