I got some great responses from Pilar by numbering my questions. Also if you ask one small uncomplicated question for each number it helps. I noticed the questions that were more complicated or that had more than one part didn't get answered as well. Hope that helps a little with the communication.

Also to everyone, I know the Trip Advisor reviews haven't been great lately but if you want a little reassurance the Monarc.ca (Canadian review site) reviews have still been pretty consistent (only one or two not so good). The link is here: http://www.monarc.ca/hotel-reviews/Mexico/Riviera_Maya/hotel-9267-Now_Jade_Riviera.html#.UYAqXJXqJNU

Thank you for this, I have had a look at the review and it is much better than tripadvisor of late......I have come to the conclusion that some people cant help themselves and just like to omplain about everything.

Either way it is too late now as we have chosen this resort and it is what you make it :-)

Hi gals,

Does anyone have any pics of the orange lounge besides what is on the website??

Thanks   :o)

Our cocktail hour will be in the orange lounge. I've seen a few photos of the space, but only have saved a few on my computer. The first photo I randomly found on a google images search, but am guessing it's of a cocktail hour. Guessing that they add high tables that are covered in a white cloth for everyone.

I believe that it overlooks the area by the fountain in one of the courtyards.

I can't figure out how to link them specifically, but on this page there's NJ videos for Kevin + Shannon and David + Kristy.

This was great! I love the videos because you can see a little bit more of what the resort is like :)

I strongly recommend Lori as well! She was very detail-oriented, had scouted out the locations of our TTD session to maximize our time and has amazing photos. I can't say enough good things about Lori! www.sweetfirephotography.com

We arrived home safe and sound last week, but I'm just so burnt out with wedding stuff that I haven't had the desire to write up my review yet, but I promise, it's coming!

Hi Ladies,

We just got back from the resort and I just wanted you to know that this orange lounge is nice and it overlooks the fountain area.  However, the downside is that is is literally right outside the coffee shop and entrance to the buffet (the only entrances to these places).  So you might find you will have a lot of people roaming through or right beside your cocktail hour.  It could be a nice place to have a welcome party though.  It's very central. I saw someone use it for a cocktail hour while we were there, and they did rope it off, but many people still have to walk by to get to the buffet and coffee shop.

Hi previous Now Jade Brides,

We are looking to have our family member DJ the wedding.  We will most likely rent the speakers with the microphone.  Does anyone know if it comes with one speaker or two?  Do you need 2 speakers?  Also, do you recommend renting the lighting for $350 for the Bamboo room?  Is it disco type lighting or up lighting?

Thanks so much!  Appreciate your time.

I'm trying to book a wedding date for February 2014 with Pilar.  How long did it take to hear back from her the first time you contacted her?  I'd like to get a date secured before it get's all booked up!!  What you wrote is frustrating but I keep hearing that everything will always workout in the end, but still frustrating!! undecided.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
