As i have stated in previous threads, hotels, flights, tours etc over sell almost 90% of the time. if you go onto trip advisor right now, you will read of several complaints of hotels over selling other hotels and being put at the Now Jade. If you want to ensure that none of your group will get bumped in that event, I would definitly reccomend booking as a group or at least getting blocked space at the hotel.

Also, you may get a discount if you book as a group and get a certain amount of people to attend!! :)

We booked with Apple Vacations.  We did a room block for 20 rooms.  For every 25 guests, we get 1 guest stay for free, which we can use towards our stay.  For 1-9 rooms booked, we get $100 off our master account, 10-19 rooms booked, we get $200 off our master account and so on.  They are amazing to work with.  Plus, every guest saves $25 once they book and can put down a deposit of only $50 per room.  Also, if the room price goes down cheaper, they will lower the rates.  Right now, we are getting a rate of $700 for 8 nights!

Hey ladies! I'm hoping you guys may be able to answer a couple questions for me. 1.the divine packagesnincludes services of a judge or minister, so do we have to pay the $600? 2. Do you have to arrive 3 or 4 business days in advance? My paperwork says 3 my TA says 4. And is the day you arrive counted towards that? Thank you!!

I was there in February with my group and no one (out of 35 guests) complained. They aren't heated but it is hot during the day so they are a refreshing temperature.  I found it may seem a bit cooler when first getting in but you quickly got used to it if most of your body was in the water.  It didn't stop us from spending hours in the water.  One note tho - the way the resort buildings are laid out means most of the pools are in shade by 5pm (so the cooler water is more noticeable)...not a big deal since most people are heading back to their rooms by then for a rest or to shower and get ready for the evening.  Also the ocean is a wonderful temperature so don't worry at all!

Thank you for this information Mlite83, some people complain about the silliest things.  In all the holiday resorts I have been to i have never heard anyone complain so much about the temperature of the pool water. of course we have experienced at times that the water is cool initially but you soon get used to it! so thank you for clearing that up for me, to hear them talk on tripadvisor it is way too cold to go in! My son will be happy :-)

So I have been reading the Trip Advisor reviews and they are now consistently BAD!! I am freaking out and we are 6 months out and I am actually thinking of canceling because I want nothing but the BEST for my guests. When we booked 6 months ago the reviews were all great and they have just been going down hill since. One of the big things is the quality of food. I want to make sure everyone will enjoy the food and have a great time but now I feel like everyone will just have complaints that they paid all of this money for my fiance and I to see us get married and they are at a horrible resort!!

Sorry for the venting but I am freaking out a bit lol. Hopefully management is following up and not just saying they are!

Honestly I did not think they were bad at all! None of the kids minded and our guests thought they were refreshing.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
