Are you going to just make your own play list and have it playing for the ceremony?

We are having the sound system for the ceremony & bringing our iPod with our chosen songs and a list of when to play each. I believe there is a technician to play the iPod.

when you estimated 9500$ is this including an outside photographer or your using the resorts? Also was that including extra centerpeices? Im just tryin to figure out myself how much things should end up since im trying to stay within a budget also.. thanks!

No, our budget didn't allow an outside photographer. We are upgrading our photos within our package though, using the resort, photographer & yes, that is including about 8 centerpieces through the resort.

Okay guys, i'm freaking out a little bit....   I just signed a room contract with my TA(last week), and nowhere on the form did it say that Now Jade doesn't allow 4 adults per room, I can't even find it on their website.  Now I have guests trying to book a room (two adults and their adult children), and I am being told that this isn't possible.

Is this true? Is their a way around it? I feel like such an idiot for not knowing this, I feel like looking into a new resort while I still have time. Any information would be so helpful, thanks.

Beth

I did read that somewhere, though I can't remember where, it might be in my ta contract? I think they would have to book a family suite? It's not really that much more expensive

Im on the same page as you though, I honestly cannot justify spending that much money on something people arent even going to remember probably but at the same time i do not want to be hauling down vases etc. How many people are in your wedding? I havent started looking at my seating plan, so i dont know how many round tables I am going to need as of yet. Does anyone know if they can do a head table of 12 in the bamboo room? I dont like the idea of the "sweetheart" table, i want all of our wedding party at the table with us!

We have a small wedding party. Just a maid of honor and best man, actually 2 best men, FI couldn't decide between his 2 best friends. I'm sure you can do a head table of 12. We are having just a sweetheart table. I want our wedding party to sit with their significant others. I've never been a fan of head tables, especially when my FI was in a wedding and I knew nobody there.

Hi Beth!

I am a travel agent and the Now Jade does NOT allow 4 adults in the same room. Even the family suite must be 2 adults and 2 children you cannot have 4 adults in the family suite. You are not going to be able to find many properties that allow 4 adults in one room as per their fire code restrictions thats just the way it is unfortunately. My mom and dad wanted to be in the same room as my brother and sister (17 and 9) and hotels do not even allow that! They have booked 2 seperate rooms, and when we get down to the resort I am going to see if we can get a family suite if it is not already occupied. Resorts keep these family rooms for larger families who NEED to have their small children in the same room. I hope this helps!

Also Beth, i believe adults are considered age 16+ which is why my parents could not be in the same room as my brother and sister....I think it is quite silly as they cant be in a room alone as you have to be 18+ to be in a room....

We didn't use the photography that was included in Divine on our actual wedding, but we just used it for pictures another day, sort of like TTD. I think that is better then the $150 that they offer, since you get an hour session, and a photo album, and the pictures came out really nice. We loved them.

Also, I wanted to do a hair trial instead of airport transafer and they didn't let me swap.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
