Does anyone know if there is anywhere to buy wholesale or bulk flowers in Puerto Morelos, Playa Del Carmen or Cancun. My soon to be Mother in law is a florist and this would help with the costs tremendously (considering we just found out we will have >60 people). Also can I just buy 2 full Divine packages to cover the first 50 people (I feel like this will be more worth it because I will get the added bonus of the extra stuff?)

Thanks.

Thank you so much for your info. I have re-read the brochure and it says that if i book for 10 or more guests in one of the restaurants there is a set up fee of 20usd per person which is not too bad i guess, I will be asking if we could still have this a little more intimate so that we can play our own music (with the hire of there sound system). This site has been so helpful and I have only been on here 2 days. there are lots of things i didnt know and had this vision i was going to turn up and not have a clue what to do lol.  not long for you now how exciting xxxxx
If you have more than 10 people for any type of dinner there is a fee of $22 (increased from $20 from 2012 I think). This can be in most of the restaurants. It is not private, but instead semi private. There will be other people dining in the restaurant too. You will need to still have a set menu, which we were not a fan of. Also I thought I read that they do not allow any music in these reataurants then as to not disturb other guests in there. Maybe I'm wrong about that though.

Thanks for posting this. I've been really curious to see how the extras all add up and how they document it.

This is actually my first post, but I've been reading pages and pages of threads on Now Jade. Thank you all for sharing your info on your weddings, it's helping us make our decision on if we want a destination wedding or if we should organize one in Canada.

No...you're right. If you're in a restaurant music isn't allowed. :(

Just wondering, do any past or future bride know is there an alternative to the Canopy for our beach ceremony?

It is just myself & my man heading over to Mexico from Ireland for our wedding in May 2013. As it is just the 2 of us, we went for the Moments Wedding Package. Pilar has just told me it will be $350 for the Canopy! I can't justify paying that for a 20 minute ceremony especially when it is just the 2 of us going to be there... Any suggestions??

Thanks in advance ladies :)

Yes, from what I was told, you can purchase 2 divine packages.  However, there are some things that you don't get doubles of.  It might not be more cost efficient.  Also, for flowers...you can try http://www.floresrivieramaya.com/eng/weddingBouquets.php  We are ordering our bridesmaid bouquets and boutineers from them and they are much cheaper.  They will deliver for $15, and if you meet them outside the resort, or say that they are a gift from someone at the wedding, you can avoid the fee.  For each of my bridesmaid bouquets, they are using roses and lilies and they are $40 each.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
