If anyone is thinking about bringing their own tablecloths down you might be interested in checking out www.linentablecloth.com. They ship to Canada as well as the US. Instead of paying $4/person for coloured napkins from the resort.. I got 3 dozen navy blue cloth napkins for about 50 cents a piece. They happen to have a sale on for TODAY ONLY... 20% the entire site + free shipping. If you sign up for their newsletters you will get updates about their sales/promotions.

I've attached two documents that I recently received from Pilar.

They show the setup and the measurements of the Pergola and the aisle.

Here images she sent me of the table dimensions.

Where are you having your reception? I read somewhere that the round tables at the terrace seat 8 people but in the bamboo room and castaways they seat up to 10? Does anyone know if they use the same tables for all reception locations? Thanks.

I really want to wear one but dont fancy the idea of it blowing around in the wind during the ceremony, anyone been there around that time of year that can give me some advise... I might just buy one n see what its like when i get there???

Hi! I have heard this as well. I ended up buying one and depending on the weather I will decide last minute to wear or not. I am hoping that I can wear it tho. I get married next week so I will let you know how it goes.

I also know you can buy "veil weights" online that you can adhere to veil but can't see so it doesn't blow around.

I'm also hoping to have the option of making a last minute switch to the bamboo room if I find the the Terrace is too cramped for my group. We are a group of 35 + 3 infants. I am also getting married at the Pergola and having our cocktail hour at the Blue Bar.

I am bringing our own photographers from home.. we simply have to pay for their trip and agree to purchase an album of photos. We have them all day as well as a bonus day.. I'm thinking about doing a TTD session. :)

Are you using an officiant from the resort? I'm concerned about the language barrier... so I've asked my brother-in-law to act as an officiant. I'm working on writing out the ceremony right now and am hoping he can add to it so that it doesn't sound too scripted.

I look forward to reading your review!

We are having them be the officiant, but I am going to request somewhere with a very minimal language barrier haha. We wrote our own script and will provide it to them ahead of time so they can read it over and ask any questions if need be, I will definitely let you know how that part goes!

...but I also think it's nice to have a family member act as officiant, especially if you have a good relationship, makes it more special i think =)

I found this online:

48" diameter seats 6

60" diameter seats 10 max

So I think 54" would be good for a max of 8, which is what we are doing, if that helps.

I was also thinking of including this in our OOT bags, but don't want to freak anyone out.  BUT- what if something happened, (Gog forbid)?  What do you guys think?

Hi All,

Does anyone happen to have measurements for the Terrace?  I'm trying to decide how comfortable it would be for a head table (for the bridal party) and 4 round tables. Anyone know how comfortably this would fit/look?

If anyone has any info or advice, that would be great!

Thanks!

Jen :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
