I did the same! :-)

I really wanted to keep the live music but I didn't want to pay Doremixx for 4 hours ($1400!) I would have loved to have him but couldn't justify paying that much. So I hired an outside dj for $700 for 4 hours and will keep the live music as well. Now this vendor fee of $350 comes up and shocked me. Hopefully I can get away with saying he's a guest & feed him instead of paying that ridiculous amount.

Deisy said 1000$ for Doremixx for 4 hours...

I have a seating question hopefully I can get some insight on. We will be doing one long table for our reception on the carnival terrace and most likely 20-25 people attending. I have decided on maracas as favors and escort cards/name cards and I'm not sure how to make this work. If the tables are broken up it would be easy to name/number tables but I'm not sure if they will be or if they'll be pushed together to form a single long table. Does anyone know what is the norm? I guess my other question is do I even need to do escort cards with this smaller number of people, and just put the maraca on the table at each seat with their name? Or will everyone be circling the table to find their seat so I would need the escort card...and if so how should I do it?

she said it's 350$ an hour or you can buy 4 hours for $1000. We are doing the four hours for $1000.

I think hers is the same email, and she responds once every 2 weeks about-from what I heard, that seems faster then Pilar.

I have Pilar and she responds to me within a few days. It may be taking longer for you since you are so far out.

If you look on the first page of this thread, Post #7, it shows the DJ options. It is $1000 for four hours. $350 per additional hour.

Has anyone used any other catamaran companies for private tours?  I'm trying to do a cruise after my ceremony, preferably out of Puerto Morelos so we don't have to go far.  There will be 45-50 people.  Thanks!

So, I've emailed Federico that we want to upgrade to full day coverage and spend about $800 on it (I listened to you and upped the price a little bit so we would get more pictures). Now he writes me back that the package is $999 for getting ready at the spa, getting ready in the room, bride and groom pictures yadayada and 100 pics on a CD and 80 pictures in the album but since we have the Divine Package we would get a $150 discount. So yeah, victim of inconsistency here. I emailed right back that I've heard from other brides that the discount was $300 and $150 for outside photography. Lets see what he responds. This is annoying. I can deal with a lot but I hate inconsistency. It doesn't go well with my OCD haha.

Thanks! I will take a look. What a relief that 4 hours isn't $1400.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
