That's ok. Hopefully my TA can find us a deal that includes transfers as well. It's such a hassle to worry about this.

if you have any questions let me know!

Thanks for the great & thorough review! I loved the look of the bamboo room with the lighting and everything.  How much did you have to pay for centerpieces? Do you know if they rent out just the vases? I was going for the same look but I was just going to bring fake flowers to save some money.

Hi ladies!  I'm a Now Jade bride-to-be as well!  My wedding is set for April, 17th, 2013!  I can't believe I'm just now finding this!!! I'm getting married at the pergola at 5, cocktail hour is at the blue beach bar from 6-7, and originally I had the bamboo room scheduled for the reception, but I'm changing it to the pool terrace.  Have any other brides used the pool terrace? I recently saw a picture of someone doing this and they had amazing views and were basically right on the beach. Also, I had seen that people were questioning how many days you have to be at the resort before your wedding, I was told three. I will be at the Now Jade from April 14-21!!

Whew! I've never even thought to ask about early arrival for my symbolic ceremony. I just assumed it didn't matter since the only thing I read online with arriving early had to do with legal ceremonies. We are getting there on a Wednesday and getting married on Friday. I never even thought to ask Pilar and my flight is already booked. I just sent her an email b/c all these comments on here made me start to panic! Although, at this point, there is nothing we can do to change it! I'm hoping we'll be able to meet her Thursday morning and everything should be good for our Friday wedding.  :-)

Does anyone have a copy of the 'wedding book'?

I am getting married next month and Pilar has yet to send me the Planning form but I did receive it from another bride.  One of the questions on it says "

Will you need Flower Arch  or  Bamboo Canopy  set up? These are included in the packages for  Beach or Garden ceremony and are optional . (Page 16 wedding book)

I know I want an arch but not sure what the pictures look like.

Thanks

Do you mean the planning guide? She sent me a ton of pics as well, if you want to DM me your email, I can send to you?

We ended up paying $1625pp incl. tax & transfers...we got a one-time price reduction of $150.00 for a max of 4 ppl, which really sucked, b/c we were misled into thinking everyone would get that. FI and I ended up having enough ppl book that our trip, along with our DD was free, so we kicked in $500 to each of our parents to help them out.  It's so hard to know whether to gamble and wait to watch prices, or to lock in when it seems most reasonable!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
