You may have already gotten the answer, but we are having a welcome dinner the night we arrive, and are handing them out then. Seems like a waste of $$, even though it isn't a super horrible cost...

Has anyone been provided with the table diameters for the rounds in the Bamboo Room? I am planning on a head table and then 4 or 5 round tables.  We are bringing our own table runners, and I am making them myself, so I need to know how much fabric to buy!

Thank you!

Kristen

Now a question about your invitations. Are any of you including the menu options in your invites? I'm confused as to how to word it on the invitation. I see there are 3 divine dinner options. Should I include all 3 options for my guests? Please let me know if this is correct.

For example:                      Menu options: _____Beef Fillet & Shrimp

                                                                  _____Yellow tail tuna steak

                                                                  _____Salmon supreme & Ratatouille

We also have a wedding website and people can select their meal selection on there.  We haven't been too diligent in making sure people have done it, but will start to remind people as we get closer.  Our site has the ability to export all the RSVPs into a spreadsheet, so I will just print that out and bring to Pilar when we get there, I guess?

We did the beef, the mahi mahi, and a vegetarian option, which based on the menu from Pilar, looks like a veggie lasagne or pasta of some kind...

Thanks so much :) It's nice to hear positive words from people I don't know sometimes, because I think my friends just tell me everything is fine, even if not haha!

Haha.  I know how that is. :)  It helps having someone who isn't biased in any way.

I am also including a note on the RSVPs to check out our website for more details on the food choices.  I encouraged people to go to our website when I sent out my save-the-dates (and many of them already have) just so they could get all the information anytime they wanted it, and I wanted them to have it early.  Under the Reception section, I put that once we had decided on a menu, we would post the details there so they knew ahead of time to check it before deciding on an entree.  I made sure they also knew that if they whatever entree they select, they would be getting the salad, soup and dessert with that as well, as no substitutions were going to be made.  You could always include an insert of the full menu choices if you wanted, something printed on vellum or something pretty, that way they can see the options.

Where do you see the chicken? Are you guys looking at Divine or Eternity? In the wedding guide I can't see any chicken option. confused.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
