Ok Ladies, I need some accessory advice.  I have my dress, shoes, and sash....trying to decide about earrings/necklace/bracelet/none of the above....my Lazaro (eeek!) sash is very intricate and a little busy, and my shoes are also pretty flashy, so I'm not sure what else would be "too much".  Here are the pics of my items, any advice is really appreciated!   (Gosh, talk about first-world problems, I'm sorry...all of my wedding party just tells me what I want to hear, so some impartial advice would be really helpful)

Kristen :)

Chantal, I am especially interested in hearing how the DJ goes....we are really flipping back and forth between using him in place of the live music, or just bringing an ipod....I hope he is good at "running the show", if you know what I mean!

Your dress is gorgeous.. and I love the sash!  I would keep any jewelry super simple since you have your sash and the dress which will shine on their own.  A small and delicate-looking necklace  and some small earrings would be great; maybe a single strand of pearls and some pearl studs (or smaller drop earrings) so they will tie into the detail of your sash? I would skip the bracelet, personally, since I think that would be a bit too much.  And nothing too flashy since your shoes have that covered. :)  Good luck!

Does anyone know what decor is included in the Bamboo Room?
I know I can bring in the centerpiece from the ceremony as well as the medallions they use on the pergola (2).  All white linens I know, but what about candles in glass holders or anything? I have seen pics with flower petals on the cake table, do they do that there?   If I bring shells, will they scatter them on the tables for me?   I plan on bringing some table runners to add some color, and I'm not sure what else I need to bring.  Also- do any past brides have a floor plan/layout for the Bamboo Room they'd be willing to share?  It's so hard to plan and visualize without seeing it first!

thank you!  I am in love with my shoes and sash- I got a really good deal on the dress at David's, so I decided to splurge on those items.  I found these earrings on Etsy and think they're gorgeous.  Was thinking if I went with them, I would do nothing else.  What do you think?

Not a huge difference, but just wondering if the price has went up. Trying to decide if we'll have the resort do it or if we will just do it on our own. Guess it'll all depend on how many guest we'll have.

You may have already gotten the answer, but we are having a welcome dinner the night we arrive, and are handing them out then. Seems like a waste of $$, even though it isn't a super horrible cost...

Can anyone let me know why you chose the package that you did, as this may help me decide. I was also wondering if anyone has pics of what the pergola looks like set up with the divine package compared to the etermity. I want to get the tiffany style chairs, which is part of why i am thinking of switching the packages. I also am wondinring if anyone has any experices they can share regarding flower choices for the bouquets. The examples they show Im not really a fan of. And lastly, lol, i want to possibly do some sort of welcome for our guests, is anyone doing that, or has done it? What did you do? Planning from afar has been challenging and I appreciate any advice or feedback that can be given:)

We asked Pilar if we could reserve a large section of the buffet restaurant to have an informal welcome dinner- our flight lands at 11:00am, so we figure people will have time to settle in their rooms.  We are planning on giving an OOT bag per room, so will be doing that there, and I will probably give my bridesmaids their gifts as well....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
