I actually did not ask any follow up questions to Pilar regarding the menus, but I have my meeting with her next week tuesday so I'll let you know once I return since you have a bit of time. There are just so many last minute things that have come up..

Hi ladies,

I'm going to be getting married May 6, 2013.  Does anyone have a preference on photographers?? We may just stay with the package deal but if we do can we add on to the package??  I saw a previous brides pics and they were good and I would go with them if they are reasonable.  Thanks in advance!!!

I checked out Adventure Photos, the resort photog and they seemed pretty mediocre. We decided to hire Derek Campbell, Photos in Cancun because A. He's a fellow Canadian, and B. his work is beautiful! I can honestly say that this is one part of the planning that I'm NOT stressing about, because I know it will be perfect. I asked Pilar about using the value of the photog towards something else and no dice. I think we're going to have Derek for 4 hours, so will use the resort photog for the reception part and hopefully he/she can capture some fun candid shots....

For the Bamboo room, is there an outside patio area?  When I was first looking, I thought I saw one, but now I'm not so sure.  Thanks
From the pics I've seen, looks like the sliding doors of the bamboo room open to the beach, near the mix bar, but I could be wrong....

Coloured tablecloths or overlays are extra.  Only white is included in the package.

As for weather, I'd say check out a weather site...I know it cools in the evening but not sure how much.

Hi ladies -

Has anyone had experience using these crystal curtains on the pergola at now jade?  I'd really like to use it as decorations for my wedding ceremony, but would prefer not to bring this with me on the flight.  Does anyone know if they sell this locally in the area or if Now Jade has something like this and what they charge?   If not either, does anyone know where I could get these online (hopefully it wouldn't take up much space).

Figured I'd ask here to see if any of the former or current brides know before checking with Pilar.  Here are two photos of what I'm describing.  Thanks!

Hi Caroline,

I'm not getting married at NOW Jade (although I was there in April and LOVED the resort - your wedding will be beautiful!) however I did rent the crystal backdrop for my wedding from Saku Wedding Cancun who has been awesome with her communication.  Weddingcancun.mx is their site.  Here is a picture of what I am renting - it was just over $100.  Keep in mind though that they do have a minumum order and there is a delivery charge.  I'm getting a lot of extra stuff so it was worth it for the ease.  I do know you can buy this stuff online too, although I haven't personally ordered anything and I'm not sure how you would hang it up or if Pilar could do it for you.  Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
