Thanks!

I'm not sure if the actual package has tax, but I know everything else does. When I say everything, I mean everything, lol. It would not surprise me if there was to be honest.

Hi ladies!! I need some help! We choose the divine package but may switch to eternity based off of what we want and the price. Can anyone let me know why you chose the package that you did, as this may help me decide. I was also wondering if anyone has pics of what the pergola looks like set up with the divine package compared to the etermity. I want to get the tiffany style chairs, which is part of why i am thinking of switching the packages. I also am wondinring if anyone has any experices they can share regarding flower choices for the bouquets. The examples they show Im not really a fan of. And lastly, lol, i want to possibly do some sort of welcome for our guests, is anyone doing that, or has done it? What did you do? Planning from afar has been challenging and I appreciate any advice or feedback that can be given:)

Hey ladies,

Just checking in to see if we have a choice of what to use for bamboo vs. a floral overhang during the ceremony. Is this extra?  It was on the sheet to choos and wasn't sure if it was part of the eternity package.  Also does Pilar help you with selecting your times for the wedding to run through? This too was on the sheet and no idea how to make this run.  Has anyone just done the hotels photographer?  We are debating about doing the photographer there or save our money.  Can we give our thoughts on flowers for bouquets?? or is just whats in the pictures?  Appreciate any advice and help!! Thank you!!

I chose the Divine Package for the videography and live music. Also, it comes with a few extras that the eternity doesn't. I started off with the eternity but change to Divine. The tiffany style chairs aren't included in either package.

We want to do some kind of welcome for our guest as well. I think we will just have cocktails in the Lobby Bar. Pilar said she can block of a small section for us if we are only having cocktails. I will put this in my welcome letter. I'll word it some way for the guest to know that it's an after dinner thing that way they know to eat before they come since there will be no food.

I'm not sure about your first few questions but we too are using the resort photographer. I've read alot of people complaining about the quality of pics from the resort but I honestly didn't think they were terrible. Sure, there are better out there but we just cannot afford hiring an outside photographer. I'm sure the resorts photographer will be fine. As for the flowers, I think you can send her a pic of the bouquet you like and she'll let you know if they can do it and how much it cost. I will probably just pick something when we get there. Flowers aren't a huge deal to me. I just want something tropical and pretty ;)

Sorry, what's a terlace? All the packages come with chairs white chair covers. You can add colored chair bows at an extra cost per chair. Most brides bring their own, it's alot cheaper!

Our wedding is November 1, 2013. Our save the dates have been sent out but I am wondering when Invitations should be sent out?

Also, I know we need to send out menu cards along with the invitations. Any ideas on how to make these menu cards? Maybe vistaprint?

Thanks!!!

We are sending out invites mid January for our June wedding. Asking for RSVP's by mid March. I'm telling guest i need a head count at 3 months even though it's actually less than that. But for my own sanity, I need to know so I can get everything finalized. I know not everyone will RSVP by then (& we may have some people book last minute) but the way I see it, if you don't know if you're leaving the country in 3 months, then I'll mark you down as a no. So I'd say send out your invites no later than June for your November wedding. Just my opinion!

I made a postcard style RSVP card (including meal choices) with my invites on vistaprint. I chose postcards to save on postage and envelopes instead of normal rsvp cards.

I put 2 meal choices (beef filet & shrimp, and scallop & mahi mahi) and instructed guest to initial their dinner meal preference.

shannon thanks for your thoughts on the photographer.  I'm not super picky, just the costs from the outside photographers were fairly expensive. Also I was referring to the thing you stand under when you get married, can't remember exact name.  They gave an option of flowers vs. bamboo to use.  Wasn't sure if that was extra or not.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
