Here's what I'd like to do for centerpieces... Something like this: But I don't see how they could possible charge $180 for this... Does anyone have any idea how much something like this would cost from the resort?

P.S.  The centerpiece idea above is super cute.

Thanks, Why do 80% of our guests need to stay at the resort? I hope they do, but some of them are talking about using their timeshares nearby. I never heard of the 80% thing?

I read in the wedding guides for several resorts that 80% of your guests must stay at the resort, but I didn't read it in the Now Jade guide and I didn't see it in any of the paperwork sent over by the resort.  If that is true, which was not made clear by Pilar or Deisy, I'm may have another issue on my hands.  I also have some people wanting to stay in their timeshares or specific resorts they prefer.. I hope it's less than 80%.  :)

That's exactly what I want to bring! I agree, there's no way one empty vase can be that much. We'll have to email Pilar and ask. If anyone know, please feel free to chime in! I hate to keep bothering Pilar with emails!

I made this inquiry specifically to Pilar abouit 6-8 mopnths ago due to that fact that it is a policy for other resorts.  This is not published anywhere on Now Jade documents but I wanted to know up front what the restrictions (if any) where and not be suprised 45 days prior to my wedding when I start to finalize my plans with the Resort. Since it's not published anywhere, they wouldn't really have much of a leg to stand on, but I don't want to deal with the hassle and potential headache so I asked up front.

That's smart.  I want to have it in writing from them before I will adhere to it.  I will ask them as well so I'm not surprised as our wedding nears.   I will also find out any other (new) restrictions that I should be aware of, even though they are inconsistent. :)  I'm going to take what they tell me as as being true until I find out otherwise from them.  It's the only way to really be sure and I would much rather take them at their word and be happily surprised. Haha.

Thanks for the info!

I asked Pilar about a similar set up with 3 vases, submerged flower with candle on top and was quoted  $130 per table.  I also asked about more simple arrangements and was quoted $80 for the tropical with orchid and bird of paradise and $70 for the yellow arrangement.  This was about a month ago I asked.  (I attached the photos I sent with my pricing quote to Pilar below).

Does anyone know if they provide table card numbers or the card holders?
I can't remember where I read it but I'm almost positive they do not. I'm not positive though. The table numbers weren't important to me so I just found some plain ones at Michaels for pretty cheap.

Thank you Mlite! This is what I figured!! I cannot see paying that much for those vase centerpieces! It's insane. I love the look of it though! I still have time to decide whether to just go with something simple like what you posted above or just bring my own vases. If I bring my own, I'll maybe just do 2 per table rather than 3. I guess it all just depends how much stuff we end up bringing!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
