Regarding the flowers. I have the Divine package. Are the premium centerpieces included in that package? If so, How many centerpieces are included?

You get one centerpiece but also the medalians (or whatever they are called) that you get for the ceremony can be centerpieces after the ceremony. We had one long table at our reception so we ended up with 3 arrangements on the table and that was all included in the package.

I know! I'm having the same dilemma! Did she quote you $60 as well? If so, is that JUST for the empty vases? I too thought about the Wal-Mart in Cancun, but I honestly don't want to be bothered with any of that when I get there! I'm only getting there 2 days ahead of time and I just want to relax :) I guess we'll have to figure something out!

I haven't asked to get a quote, I just went off of what other girls said. Haha.  I guess I should find out for sure before I make my decision. :)  I don't want to deal with buying stuff for the reception when I get down there either.   The only other option that I haven't completely discarded is to ship them directly to the resort.  I think you are supposed to ship them like six months in advance or something like that to make sure they get there since customs can take quite some time.  Funny how something so small can cause such grief, right?  Haha.  I will keep you posted on what I find out and any other ideas I have for getting the things down there. :)

Hi Lauren, the wedding day guest pass is $55, but keep in mind that 80% of your guests need to stay at the Resort. Regarding your budget, your best bet is it get an itemized list and send it to Pilar for pricing.  If you want to know the total cost you're going to incur then this is the only way to do it.  Unfortunately the cost for every item/option hasn't been published by the resort and while this forum is a great place to get a rough idea, you will not be able to hold the resort accountable based on pricing you see in these threads.  There are many set-up fees and concessions that have been waived or swaped at the discretion of the resort. I'm sure there are many variables that play into this that we may not have insight on.  If Pilar quotes you a higher rate than what you have seen based on posts in this thread, then i would take it at face value and be pleasantly surprised if the cost don't show up or get discounted on your final invoice.

Thanks, Why do 80% of our guests need to stay at the resort? I hope they do, but some of them are talking about using their timeshares nearby. I never heard of the 80% thing?

Is it $60 per vase? And is it just for the empty vase, with nothing in it? That's what I'm confused about. I would like to have 3 vases per table. If it is in fact $60 per vase, that's $180 per table, if you have 5 tables, that's $900 for just vases.. That can't be right, can it?? LOL...

Here's what I'd like to do for centerpieces... Something like this: But I don't see how they could possible charge $180 for this... Does anyone have any idea how much something like this would cost from the resort?

I am not sure of the reasoning for this but if I recall correctly, most of the resorts have this policy.

I'm bringing the fillers with me - the submersible lights, clear rocks/beads/whatever they are, silk/real touch, etc. - so all I have to do is rent the empty vases.  I hope it isn't $60/vase.  If so, I will have to rethink my options.. but they cannot possibly be that expensive per vase.   My guess is that they give you a set amount for the $60, whatever they may be.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
