OFFICIAL NOW Jade Wedding Thread

Recommended Posts

I found the same thing for our Feb 2013 wedding... One site had had the best prices, by far... Booking.com has some great deals - when we saw this, we had about 10 guests book within one day, and now the rooms are sold out (on this site) for our wedding week. We booked rooms separately, which we hadn't intended to do.. But the deals were too good to pass up. We ended up paying $1657 for our room for 7 nights! That is approx $830 each - and we found flights or $426 RT - making it a total of approx $1270/person for 7 nights.. The best deal we found by a long shot.. Also, booking.com offers 100% cancellation up to 2 wknd before your trip - basically free insurance! So, if a great package deal comes along- you could always cancel the room. Hope this helps! Good luck!

I found the same thing when searching for our Feb 2013 wedding.  We found great deals on rooms at booking.com. We wanted to book as a package, but when we did some digging, found that we could save so much $ by booking separately.  We found a deal for our wedding week - then let our guests know (via our website), and we had 10 guests book the same deal that day.  Because so many peple booked, the rooms for that week (on booking.com) are now sold out.. My fiance and I paid $1657 for 7 nights for our room! That's approx $830/person.. then we found cheap flights for $426 each - so for 7 nights/8days we are paying just over $1250 per person!  This is by far the cheapest deals we have found yet.  Also, booking.com offers free 100% cancellation policy up to 2 weeks before we leave..which is basically free insurance.  So we are going to keep our eyes open for packaged deals through apple and cheapcarribean - but until then, I think we found an amazing deal.  I think it's worth looking into this site, and seeing if you can find cheap airfare. We did not go through a travel agent based on the fact that the prices were just too high...comparable to the NOW Jade website itself... (almost $400-$500 more per person) whereas other sites have much better deals.. (we booked 6nights/7days this past March for $930 each through cheap carribean...hoping more deals like that come around in the next couple months)...  My dad has been in touch with NOW Jade to confirm taht all the reservations made through booking.com had been received - they are.  Happy searching!  Good luck! :)

When is your wedding?

We are looking for March 23-30, 2013 time frame. I'm sure your agent will be great, it would be great if you could keep me posted on what you are seeing and I will do the same.

Great idea to put it on your wedding website! Thanks!!

When are you getting married?

January 17th! Yime is just flying by! You will still have to remind people to RSVP as we are finding most people think booking their trips are their RSVP :)

Which florist are you using? Is the resort charging you a resort fee to use the vendor or are you just paying the $20 for the delivery?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
